Split stay question

Not really sure where to post this but I have a question regarding a split stay......

We will be at WDW from April 13-20, 2008. I will be there from 4/16 thru 4/20 at the YC as part of a conference and am able to add on my DH and my DD. As part of our conference package, we get hotel and a 3 day hopper pass to the parks. We have added on a couple extra days before the conference to make this a little longer "family vacation" and will be staying at the POP from 4/13 thru 4/16.

I have only booked and paid for the 4/13-4/16 stay at POP individually - the others will be taken care of thru the conference. My question is this: Will I be able to add on some extra days to my 3 day hopper pass that I will get with my conference for the minimal additional fee or will they charge full price for seperate tickets? I would hope that they would allow me to just upgrade my ticket rather than have to purchase another whole set!!???

Does anyone know how this would work or has anyone else ever encountered this same situation? Any input or thoughts on this would be helpful! Thanks!

You can absolutely upgrade your ticket! Any concierge at the resort can help you do this. The difference between a 3 day and 6 is minimal and a great bargain for you! Congrats!

Terrific!! I was certainly hoping this was the case - but not certain as these were two seperate packages!

A couple of things to find out. Will you get the tickets that are part of the package before you get there? I see your POP stay is before the conference stay so you will need the tickets in hand before the first part of the stay. I don't know if Disney offers special tickets for conference goers so you would want to make sure that the tickets aren't something special that can't be upgraded. If they are just regular passes you should be fine. I hope you don't have any troubles but I thought I would mention these things just in case.

I finally found out the answer to my question. I will be able to upgrade our tickets and add additional days (YEAH!!!). However it does depend on how the tickets are purchased. When I called Disney, I talked to three different people and no one was quite able to get me the answer. However, I found a contact name of the person at our insurance company who hosting the conference and she told me that the purchased the tickets seperately and so we would be able to upgrade them! I'm so excited!!!

When will you have the tickets in your possession? If it isn't until you check in to your conference, you won't have them in time for the earlier days as someone else stated.

My rep at the insurance company that is sponsoring the trip said that everyone would receive their tickets when they check in for the conference; however for those of us that are extending our stay prior to the conferenc, she will mail our registration packet with our tickets to me ahead of time so that I will be able to upgrade them before the conference!!
