Split Stay: FP vs. ADR windows

I am regretting making split stay hotel reservations. I have 3 nights at GF and 5 nights at YC. My ADR window opens soon and I am now realizing I will have ADR two windows.

When they closed the FP "loop" a while back due to throw away reservations, didn't Disney eventually allow split stays to book FPs for the total length of stay?

I feel like we have been able to make fast passes the duration of our trip starting with the fp window of the first resort check-in day.
I don't remember having to wait to make fast passes for our 2nd part of our stay.

I hope someone else can give a definite answer.

I don’t know about recently but in 2019 and early 2020 we had no issues doing FP and dining for our whole stay. We always do split stays.
I hope this doesn’t mess up dining. I love split stays but won’t keep doing them if I have two adr dates or FP dates if they ever come back.

I've read pretty consistently that people's experiences since reopening have been that they had separate ADR windows for split stays. The first window extends to checkout day for that stay but doesn't go beyond it; they have to wait for 60 days before checkin for the 2nd stay to book through that checkout day, etc. DVC owners used to be able to call MS to book ADRs across a split stay, but we've lost that privilege.
