Split stay experts how do you do it? Doing one over Christmas. A little nervous.

Doing a split stay is not brain surgery, don't worry. We just pack up in the AM (we're not big packers or scatterers), drop our bags at bell services on the way to wherever we're going for the day. Depending on the resort, your bags may not reach the other resort until late afternoon so ask your bellman when they'll drop them off.

We spend our day doing what we'd planned, make our way over to our new resort, check in, and our bags are usually there by that time.

Couldn't be easier! No need to stress!

We always do split stays; just to try out new places! I couldn't imagine NOT doing one! Thanks, DVC!!

Please pardon my ignorance, but I've never been at Disney over the holidays. Is the monorail just prettier with the lights that time of year?

The monorail isn't prettier but their are so many gorgeous decorations at each of the resorts on the monorail. You have 4 (GF, CR, Poly and now BLT) to visit plus MK and Epcot which are just gorgeous during the holidays. The WLV is a boat ride away. Plus you have some of the best eating in that area:wizard:

We're doing a split stay for the holidays, too. Most of our trip will be at BWV, and then we move to BLT for the final stretch for New Year's Eve. With any luck, we won't have to use Disney buses at all! :thumbsup2 Not that I like re-packing and moving to a new place, but I almost enjoy the change of scenery and a split stay feels like two trips in one! :goodvibes
