Split DVC stays and ADRs

Hi everyone,

I have rented DVC points for a split stay at the BWV (5 nights) and AKV (6 nights), and at midnight tonight (NZ time zone) my ADRs open up.

The problem is that the Disney website is not recognizing my 180 + 10, and is instead showing that I will have to book my ADRs day by day. I realise that this is a common issue for DVC bookings and it is best that I just ring.

However due to the late, tiring hour I will be ringing and the cost of international calls, I would like to be a bit clued up about what to expect when I ring. Any help with my questions would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Worst case scenario, how long should I expect to be kept on hold? Are the hold times much less if I wait until late afternoon (EST) to ring?

Does anyone know if the split stay will affect my ability to book the + 10? i.e., Can I book all 10 days tonight, or only the 5 of my BWV stay? I asked this question a few months back on a different part of the DIS, but got two very different answers. I was hoping for a bit more insight.

Lastly, the 11th day of my stay is the most important to me as it's my son's birthday. When can I expect the 11th day to open up? Would it be two days from now, or 180 days from my AKV check-in?

Thanks for your help

Split stays shouldn't affect your ability to do 180+10 it is not based on length of stay.

Wait times are longer on the phone at the moment than usual due to I think the website problems. If you are a DVC member call member services instead if not be prepared to wait. When i called in Feb it was over 40 mins wait time so I gave up and did it all through member services.

Since you have two separate reservations with two reservation numbers and two locations, you will have two booking windows.

Each 180 days from the day you check in.

As to the wait, to book when you call, it varies.

Thank you both :-)

I'm still feeling a bit confused about how many days I'll be able to book for, but I guess I will find out in the next 6 hours or so.

Thanks again for your help.

Just incase anyone is interested, the split booking made no difference and I was able to book all 10 days. In fact I was able to book for all 11 days of my stay which was a unexpected, yet pleasant, surprise (perhaps with the different time zones I had done my maths wrong?).

I couldn't stay awake, so waited until early morning (early afternoon ET) to make the calls and the wait time was only about 5min. Overall, I'm really happy with the whole phone experience in general.

Now to see if the new Disney website will recognise all my reservations...
