Split DVC Stay and DDP

If I am doing a split stay (5 nights at SSR followed by 3 nights at BWV), and I want to do the DDP, how does that work? Are all 8 nights linked together so that I can plan table service meals in literally any combination, or do I have 2 completely separate ressies where I need to completely use my SSR DDP plan and then I would need to start over when I check into BWV with a new set of DDP credits?? Can I buy DDP for only 1 part of my stay (either the SSR nights or the BWV nights but not both)?

Both reservations are treated separately, so if you want the DDP for either or both, you have to tie it to that specific reservation. You do not need to buy it for the whole 8 days.
(In fact, IIRC, if you get it for both, you'd have an overlap for your last day at SSR and your check-in day at BWV. If my memory isn't failing , that's a LOT of food! )

Each reservation is seperate so your SSR credits expire at midnight when you check into BWV. You can also get the DDP for only one reservation and not the other. I love that there is no park pass requirement!

In fact, IIRC, if you get it for both, you'd have an overlap for your last day at SSR and your check-in day at BWV.

I don't see why there'd be an overlap since it is one set of meals for each night of stay.

You are right that you must use up your SSR DDP by midnight of the day you check out there and then start to use the BWV DDP. If you use up one of your TS credits the first day and then use up your last CS the day you check out of SST you can just start with the TS for the first night at BWV with no problems and no overlap.
