We're staying 9 days and I've found it cheaper to rent a car for 7 days then a separate rental for 2 days. Has anyone ever done this? Is this a hassle?

I DID have a car rental set up like this once. and I assumed I would have to drive back to the airport, return the car, and take a new one. Or at least return to the rental co. and get new paperwork. Much to my surprise, they did something with the paperwork when I arrived at the counter in Orlando, and I was able to keep the same car, and NOT return to the airport. (I was just going to drive over myself one night, after returning from the parks)

No guarentees, but it worked out. This was Alamo, several years ago.

Depending on how much the cost difference is to do a 7+9 vs. just 9. I would just pay the extra. If it is less than $50, I would just pay the extra to avoid the hassle of going back to the aiport or CCC.
