Just heard through the grapevine that the Orlando Sentinel reports today that Splendid China will be closing its doors permanently on Wednesday 31st December. No one is sure what will happen to the site but my money is on more housing.
The park's owners say that they are closing due to the general downturn in tourism over the last couple of years. Although I have heard many people say that the place just wasn't maintained very well and had become 'shabby'.
We never managed to make it to this attraction - and, along with any other Dis'ers who were planning to include it in their next trip - looks like we missed our chance!!
