Splashmountain for a 4 years old?

If you opt for the back seat, make sure she gets in first (assuming you're entering from the main line) so she's on your right hand side. That way, she'll be in the picture if you want to get one. We took our daughter when she was 4. She hated it and I don't know when she'll be willing to try it again. That's why I was so bummed that she was on my left side because that was our only opportunity to get that picture, but you just couldn't see her at all.

Great tip! Thanks!

My Dd was 5 when she rode it last year for hte first time, but she's very small for her age. ONly about 38 lbs at 6. She LOVED it!

I did find after riding a couple different rides with here that I was MUCH more comfortable sending her next to my 10yo nephew when there is a safety bar. THe bar only goes down to the biggest person. well I'm WAY bigger than her, so I felt like she was moving around and falling out because there was literally NOTHING holding her in. I found this out on the dragon roller coaster in harry potter world and I was so freaked out the whole time I was really afraid she was going to fly out. It was difficult trying to hold onto her without making her scared :) After that she rode with my nephew on everything. Not a problem on Splash Mountain since you sit in a row...but keep it in mind for other rides :)

Our son is 3.5 and loves that ride!!! He is small for his size so he sits in front of me and I use my arms and legs as a seatbelt for the drop. He likes it because he feels secure and it makes me more comfortable.

I was nervous too whehn I did it with my nephew at that age and my son when he was that age and both were fine. I understand your fear but its all good.

Sorry, but hahahahahahahha!!

"Small for his AGE", I think is what smarie meant to say. It does give one a chuckle if you think about it, though. If he's 3-feet tall, he's 3-feet tall. You can't be "short" for 3-feet, you either are or you aren't (explained for those that didn't immediately get the humor). I hope dtnrhi didn't come across too insensitvely (which I think he/she may have). My apologies for that.

I think it really depends on the child. Does she like rides with big drops? Does she like water? The first time we took my DD on it she was 6 and barely made the height requirement. She hated it! She was very mad at me when we got off of it and looked at me like I was and evil mother. She wouldn't ride it (or any other large drop rides) for 3 years. Now at 10 we laugh at her reaction from that first time. Oh the memories we have made. :)

If you guys want to get drenched, then go for it. Its not nearly as good as the Splash at WDW which my son loved at age 4.
