Splash Landings Hotel - Alton Towers

Yes I've stayed there and am going to Carriba Creek again on Thursday. As for hints and tips, I don't really think there are any. Obviously make sure you use Caribba Creek, the master blaster slide is cool. The climbing water play area is also fun for people of all ages. Make sure you wonder over to the Alton Towers hotel and go in the lifts (also very cool.) I found that Splash Landings was a little more lively than the Alton Towers hotel (I have stayed in both.) I prefer to eat at the Alton Towers hotel rather than Splash Landings. At Flambos at SL they serve a buffet but I usually find a strange mixture of items offered. At the Secret Garden restaurant at AT they serve a sit down meal. If you are going into the park as well make sure you use the early ride time for Nemasis and Air and then head straight over to Rita if you like to ride the coasters.

Thanks, that`s great information! We`re staying there on thursday night. DD and her BF are going to the Creek on thursday and then we`re going into the park on friday.

Cool, I might see you there then!! If your DD and BF are going to Caribba Creek why not hop over to the spa yourself, I highly recommend it. Have fun in the park on Friday, make sure you use fast passes if they are available or buy the £5 fast pass and use with your hotel priority pass, they are worth it if it is busy. If you want any tips on how to make the most out of the park just ask. I'm an annual pass holder for Alton Towers so go there a lot!!

I did`nt know about that £5 for express pass - so thats good to know. We have some vouchers for £15 entry, so DD can`t decide whether to spend both days in the park.
I`ll look out for you - we`re easy to spot, just look for the family arguing!!

We usually go into the park in the morning and then go to Caribba Creek later in the afternoon when the ques in the park are too big. If you are staying room only at the hotel and do not get hotel priority passes (which you get if you book the room and park package) you will definately need to but the £5 priority passes if it is busy. They don't have return times on so you can use them when ever. You get get one that either does Nemasis, Air, Oblivion and the Flume or a family one that does 4 family rides.
I would probably do 2 days in the park and go to Caribba Creek in the afternoon/ evening. The park will probably close at 6 where as Caribba Creek will be open until 9pm.
