Splash and Pirates - How wet?

We changed our touring plan to hit Splash, BTM and Pirates at RD. Wanted to know if there were strategies to not just get soaked first time out in the parks. I don't mind changing clothes at lunch but would rather not be soaked. Any thoughts on how wet we might get? Tips to minimize that? Would a poncho help? Will my new shoes get ruined? I am really not a wimp just want to be mentally prepared. Got soaked on Kali a few Decembers ago and wet jeans does not a nice park day make.

Luck of the draw on Splash.
Don't sit in the front row on Pirates.

You will not in any way get close to soaked in comparison to Kali.

Ponchos will stave off the potential splash on Splash -- would not bother on Pirates.

Great! Thanks. Saw the other post where people said to bring flip flops for the water rides so I may do that if I have room. Appreciate the time to answer!

Just recently did Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Big Thunder, and Splash at a rope drop in that order. We did not get wet at all on Pirates. Sat in the front row on Splash and got a little wet up top, but nowhere near soaked. My shoes (Skechers go walks) were fine across the board.

I agreed its luck of the draw on splash mt. If you're coming around the briar patch as a log goes down, that splash can get you fairly soaked. I always wear my $1 poncho and throw it away when I get off.

In the first row we got pretty wet I dunno must have been our boat but decently soaked

Sit in the back right on splash. It's normally not the big drop where you get wet, it's a spray of water to the right of the boat a little after it. However the times I've ridden splash and sat in multiple seats, I've never gotten overly wet. Nothing where I wasn't dry within a few minutes.

As far as pirates. No poncho is needed and don't anticipate on getting wet at all really. Might have a little splash of water after the small drop, but nothing to be worried about. Avoid the front row if you're trying to avoid any water.

Neither ride compares at all to Kali River though

OK I kept hearing that people were getting soaked on Pirates and that they did something to Splash that made it a bigger splash. Guess those aren't the average experience. Thanks for the comments.

We were put in the front row on POC the other day and the splash from the drop did get our legs pretty wet. I wouldn't go as far as "soaked" but then we're not ones to pull out raincoats with the first raindrops either. Even that amount of water might bother some people, like my wife, who isn't with us on this trip.

Splash can be kind of hit and miss. On our ride on Sunday I got wetter after the big drop while the boat was stopped waiting to enter the final scene. I happened to be in the one seat on the right side of the boat where the splash from the little waterfall was. But, with the warm, dry weather I dried out quickly and the little shower felt pretty good.
