Spirit Shortcut Security addon

When I booked our flights I bought the shortcut security add on for us. I am looking reviews online just to see what to expect but I cannot find anything. Anyone here use it or see the signage for the line at MCO?

OMG, Spirit has found a new way to get cash out of customers.

Since this wouldn't get you anything but in a faster ID check lane I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

There’s (usually) a special line for first class and elite frequent flyers. It should get you through security more quickly, but you’ll still go through the normal security screening.

Speaking of Spirit, can anyone please help me in findinf out when their next set of dates open. I have been on their site as well as google and cannot find an answer. I am waiting for Southwest and want to look at Spirit for August 11-19. Prices seem higher than usual for August.

IT's $15 each way and gets you access to the "First Class" line at the airport. Depending on the airport that may or may not be dramatically shorter. (For example in ATL where we have literally 10s of thousands of Delta elite flyers, that line can often be incredibly long which is why most of us either have Global Entry or PreCheck)

Or you could get Global Entry which includes precheck, or if you're near or flying through one of the facilities during a time you can get scheduled, NEXUS is even cheaper and includes nexus, GE, and precheck. (and is free for minors)
