We are planning a trip in September to WDW. We have kids that will be 12, 10, 7, & 4. Which would we enjoy more? Spirit of Aloha or Hoop De Do Review

Which one did you decide on?

I have really been leaning towards the Spirit of Aloha. The kids want to so that one.

Did you already make your ressie? I am having a hard time with getting reservations for our dates.

My kids really enjoyed Hoop. Spirit, not so much, there were only a couple of parts that caught their attention during Spirit.

We've seen both several times and really enjoy them. If I had to choose with your size/age group, I would go with Hoop. :thumbsup2

If you wait till June 10 to reserve, I doubt you'll be going to either. And with the overwealming vote for Hoop and you're still leaning toward SoA, I don't understand why you took a poll. Or are you a politician, and if you don't like the results of a poll, you just discredit them?

I was leaning toward the Spirit before I got many replies. My kids like the idea of a Luau because of Lilo & Stitch. Will they be happy with Ohana for dinner one night?

I agree that given the ages of your kids, the HoopDeeDoo would be a better choice. Even if your oldest finds the jokes corny, he'll still have fun laughing at the corniness. Its fun, loud and lively. The Luau is pretty but may be tad bit too long to hold your kids interest. I thought it was a couple of hulas too long, myself and I use to live in Hawaii. As far as the food goes, they are of equal quality. Have fun, whatever you choose, and let us know how it went.:goodvibes

just say NO to the Spirit of Aloha.......:sad2:....

it was one of the biggest waste of our 'Disney' time ever.....

Well we did Spirit of Aloha on Dec. 22 & really enjoyed it, both the food & the show.

We've got an ADR for this summer at the Hoop & I see that the poll is running in favor of the Hoop. I'm guessing that this one must be fantastic..or my family is just "easy to please".

Spirit of Aloha all the way! HDDR will drive you insane.

4winks, this may make your decision a little easier, we are going the same dates and there really aren't any open ressie's left for the hoop. My friends didn't make their ADR's until after the free dining came out and therefore not able to do the hoop with us. They tried checking other nights and the for all the dates the only thing open was a couple of tables for 3 or 4, but all on different nights/shows. Not one show had more than 4 open seats! I don't know about the Spirit of Aloha we didn't check for that one. She has been checking back everyday to see if it changes. Since you are a party of five/six same as her I don't think you will be doing the hoop. But then again, you might have better luck.

I have been to both and enjoyed both. I know that Aloha gets some pretty rough reviews, but I really liked it. I would choose Aloha with the age of your kids.:goodvibes

Do Lilo and Stitch appear in the Spirit of Aloha show? They didn't when we saw it.
