3...2...1... AND HERE WE GOOOOOO!
June 21st began with me heading to my school at 6am. I'm a teacher during the school year, but during the summer, I work in our office from 6:30-9:00 am. This bridges the gap between open (there is a day camp during the summer) and the time the director comes in. It's low stress, a bit of extra cash, and I still get the day with the kids! Win/Win!!! I came home and did some cleaning. We had already packed the car the night before so that when my husband, Scott, got home midday, we could head out! The kids were super excited and being REALLY good about keeping the house clean. I picked up some corn dogs and potato chips on the way home from school, and we ate the rest of the watermelon. Healthy lunch...
Scott got home at about 1:30, and we did some last minute locking up, took the garbage out, started the dishwasher, and loaded the kiddos! We were off by 2:00. Seriously a miracle.
As soon as we hit the expressway, I decided I would take pictures of the time so I could remember the length of the trip. I am appalled at how gross our clock looks, by the way. I'm sure it's just the way the light is hitting it that makes it look that dirty.
Soon we were seeing this:
And the time was:
It was shortly after this point when the van (which had 157,000 miles on it, by the way) started feeling and sounding a bit off...
