Spin - off - Tattoos?

I do not have any currently, but I've been wanting one for the longest time! I don't know how to pick a good tattoo artist though, & I'm worried that it will hurt too much.

Anyway, I really want 3 baby sea turtles on the inside of my right ankle w/ my kids' initials on the turtles' backs.

I'm a worrier & nothing makes me more anxious than our children. I also love anything beach-related. The ocean is just in my soul. One day, we were at our pediatrician's office for a follow-up appt after our youngest had fallen & hurt his head. I was being my normal, worried self, & the pediatrician started talking to me about baby sea turtles & how they have to crack out of their shells on their own in order to learn to be tough because if they're not tough enough, they'll never make it to the sea on their own - and, as parents, we have to step back & let them. I looked at my DH & said, "There's my tattoo!" We also have a children's book called Follow the Moon about a baby sea turtle which we all love. So there you go! My first tattoo will be 3 baby sea turtles.

I also want the words "Fear not..." on the inside of my left wrist - it's from my favorite Bible verse (Isaiah 41:10).

I used to want a tattooed wedding ring, but, since I'd always cover it up w/ my real wedding ring set, I'm not sure what the point would be.

I do want something though to represent DH & myself, so I'm thinking maybe a palm tree w/ our initials on the trunk of the tree & maybe have the baby sea turtles swimming away from the palm tree...

I have tattoos on both my wrists and on my inner ankle. I HATE needles and am not too good with pain. The inside of my ankle was definitely the easiest of all of mine. I was able to watch the whole thing and it didn't hurt very much at all, but mine is about an inch and a half or so above my ankle bone.

The wrist on the other hand would definitely shy away from if you are afraid of the pain. My first one was on my wrist and it took about 10 minutes and hurt a bunch. I have one on my other wrist too that is bigger and took a lot longer and included shading. I passed out. Once they get to the middle of your wrist where the tendons are you definitely feel it!

No, I have never had an interest in getting one. I am would worry about regretting my decision later on (ie not liking design as the years go by). Also not thrilled with the pain idea.

If I had one I would probably have had one somewhere that could be hidden like my lower back.

I have a small heart on my inner wrist. Got it during a bachelorette party. We got this bright idea to go get matching tattoos after a night of drinking. A la hangover style. Fun times.

I can't say I've never had an interest, just not one strong enough to make the commitment (and PAY for it). I really thought about it about 20 years ago (had it all picked out) & if I had, I'd be regretting that choice today. So, anytime the idea comes up, I just remember that :)

I have one on the top of each foot. My right foot is cherries for luck. I got them during a pretty down part of my life when things were starting to look up. My left foot is a black Mickey outline with swirls

I have an anklet of flowers below my ankle bone on my right ankle. Oldest DD's name is the centerpiece. I wanted to be able to easily hide it if need be. There are so many nerves/tendons in that area that I had bruises from the guy holding my foot still because it would jerk involuntarily. Another artist with tats on his neck (which had to be painful) said, "Man, that must hurt!" I'd be lying if I said I didn't almost leave with just an outline but I stuck it out. No regrets. As far as hiding it I forget about it. My grandma gave me crap about it unti her dying day. :rotfl2: Someday I will add the younger two.

Over 60 and have 2.....one more coming this summer.

Mine are all family related.
Left ankle is my Merryweather with pixie dust coming out of her wand and from that comes my 2 children's names. Got this one at ate 53
Right ankle has a Minnie black head with red bow with DGD's name and birth date around it. Got this one in 2014
Now have a DGS and that one will be Mickey black head with his name and birth date around it. Next to DGD's.

They are all fairly small and took about an hour each

I don't have any, but I want two.

The first, I want the inscription on Frodo's Ring done around my left bicep, in a circle.

The second, I want to get on my right bicep. I just want a UPC symbol.

I have no tattoos and will never get one, but I like looking at other people's tatoos.

I'm at 13 right now, so far no regrets. I do have one cover-up, but not because the original wasn't good or I didn't like it, it was just small and relatively meaningless, and the one I got over it fit the area so much better and means so much more. I have:

the kanji for rain on my lower back
a red line around left ankle
a star on outer right ankle
the outline of michigan on my ribs
a cupcake on my lower stomach
a heart on the other side of my stomach
a celtic tree on the back of my neck
mickey on my left shoulder blade
stars wrapping around my left wrist
a pile of books on my right wrist
flowers and script across my chest
roses on my upper right arm
a gypsy on my upper left arm

the two on my upper arms are fairly large, almost half sleeves. Several of them are easily covered, several are not. I'm open to getting more but don't currently have any ideas. Luckily I haven't run into much negativity...hardly any, actually. I usually just get people that want to look at them more closely, ask where I got them, and compliment them.

Zero. Too indecisive. And it looks painful.

But I love watching Ink Master. :D I appreciate the art form.

Actually, I have four.

A UPC barcode, just like @rastahomie wants. It's on my back just below the neck.

A Philadelphia Flyers logo just above my left pectoral.

A turtle on the outside of my left lower leg.

A tribal design outside right lower leg.

I have one -- got it last year. It's a spiral with the words, "She believed she could, so she did." It's between my shoulder blades, right where the barbell rests when I'm lifting. I got it as a gift to myself after I surpassed my goal of lifting 600 pounds in a powerlifting meet. I love it and am seriously thinking of getting another one on my wrist.

i have none right now, but i've been playing with an idea for a few years and am just waiting for the right time.

i'd love "until the very end" on my ribcage.

So I have one that I got when I was 15, it is a generic tribal tattoo and it is on my right hip. Do t love it as wouldn't get it again but I don't hate it either (wouldn't bother getting it removed)

I have wanted to get another for a while now but haven't hit a design or place on my body I am sure I want to commit to forever.

What I have been considering is a Haida tattoo, we have three girls, DH got one that was an orca, a thunderbird and a salmon representing them all intertwined, I am thinking something similar but in 3 cicrlces to make a Mickey head. Then I get my 3 kids, my Canadian heritage and my obsession all rolled into one
