I was reading the thread about have you ever had to use your insurance. And read where one of the posters said they were lost at sea for 10 days b/c of a hurricane. That peaked my curiousity. What happens say for example you were going on a 4 day cruise and it ended up being 7 or 10. Do they bring enough food and supplies in the event of this happening? I am sure its a rare occurence. And didnt even cross my mind til I read the post.

LOL! They were just out at sea for an additional three days. The ship stopped in Galviston to take on more supplies & even additional entertainment acts for the guests. I went on the galley tour & they said that they do bring extra supplies each cruise.

ok I was getting visions of them stuck out at sea for days... lol. However if they went to Galvastin did people have the choice of being let off and staying on the ship?

:) They did allow whoever wanted to to get off at that port. From what I remember they did offer help to arrange transportation to the closest airport. People were pretty much on their own if they chose to do this, however. Those who stayed were not charged additional fare but I believe that they did leave additional tip for those extra days. Of course, as someone has posted, many of those onboard were worried about what was left of their homes due to the hurricane.
