SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

great update!!!! I have Kingdom Keepers that I've been trying to read on every trip but I haven't gotten very far!! I usually take 2 magazines with me too!!

Looks like a good start to the day!

The picture of the 2 of you is adorable! Love it!

Sounds like a fun morning and how great to have the pool to yourselves for awhile :thumbsup2

Looks and sounds as if you guys had a great morning. Great to see. :thumbsup2

Queen, great update. You and Jasmie know what you want to do and get it done. I love that. Your photo in front of the big hat is great.

Another super fun morning and relaxing afternoon. Your mode of park touring is perfect - up early, hit the big rides, back to the resort for lunch and pool time, then back into the parks or DTD for dinner. Love it. Ah the joys of a 10 day trip. Must be so nice.

Thumbs down to the unruly morning bus crowd. Yuck. I hate the buses, but they are a necessary evil.

What a great update! Just love the picture of the 2 of you in front of the hat! An afternoon lazing at the pool is my idea of a perfect vacation:goodvibes

What a fun day so far! I love the picture of the two of you-- that pink is a great color on Jasmine! Love the shirt!

Looks like you guys had a great DHS morning, but wow that's insane that that family was too oblivious to see that they cut people off...it takes all kinds.

Having the pool to yourselves must have been an awesome way to spend the afternoon, and I'm looking forward to hearing more:goodvibes

Looks like a great day so far! Back in the day I never used to really like DHS (when it was MGM) but now I really enjoy it there. :thumbsup2

That sign at TSM is kind of scary sounding. I knew I was going to ride anyway but whenever motion sickness is mentioned I get kind of worried (even though I don't really get motion sick...must just be the mention of the word "sick"!).

Terrific shot of the two of you. I love your pictures; I don't take enough time to look around at HS. We are so busy rushing here and there and back again. I will have to take more time in the future to take various pictures of the streets.

The weather looks so great...we had 60 plus in PA this past weekend, but oh how I miss those Disney clouds. :goodvibes

I usually flip thru magazines at the pool...there is no way I can sit there and read a book!

Thanks Dawn! It was a great day overall....couldn't have been happier:goodvibes

We sure did Darcy...thanks!!

Thanks Kathy! We do travel well together and it works great for us! I love that pic too, it truly captured how happy we were!

It is definitely one of the pros of staying there longer, we never feel rushed! We also know what we don't get done this trip we'll do on the next one, cause we know we'll be back:rotfl2: Necessary evil...I love it....that's how I will look at them from now on!

Thanks:goodvibes I couldn sure use a lazy afternoon by the pool right about now...winter is slowly setting in here and it's getting cold:eek:

What a fun day so far! I love the picture of the two of you-- that pink is a great color on Jasmine! Love the shirt!

I love that color on her too and I was amazed at how brilliant it turned out in the pictures!

It takes all kinds is right....it would be very boring if we were all the same wouldn't it:rolleyes1

We quickly became very accustomed to our afternoons by the pool!!

We used to always allocate only one day for MGM...now it's at least 2....especially when we go with my sis and her family...the girls love the big rides!

I never enjoy hearing or seeing the word sick.....:lmao:

Thank you so much! I always worry that I take too many pictures but when I get home I'm so happy that I did!

We had the best weather on this trip, we truly lucked in there! We've been hitting the freezing mark here the past few days and I know it's only a matter of days when the snow will start to fly:sad2:

After our lazy afternoon by the pool we did what we do....shower and get ready for a lovely evening out! Tonight we were heading for AKL to have dinner at Boma...probably my favorite restaurant on property....I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here and never be bored.

We headed out to the bus and decided whichever one came first we would take it and transfer to an AKL bus. Lucky for us it was DHS bus so it didn't take us long to get there, transfer and head to the Lodge! As we pulled up we were remembering our stay here last summer with my sister and her family and thinking about the wonderful times to come next summer when we would be staying here again!

We had to wait about 20 minutes past our ADR time but we really didn't mind as again we were just taking it all in. We were finally showed to our table and our lovely server Maureen came over and took our drink order and Jasmine and I headed to the buffet!

I decided I would try the butternut squash soup first....I didn't love it and that's unusual for me....I love squash soup, this one was just too sweet for my taste
190.jpg

Jasmine decided to try the crab bisque....this was literally to die for....I ended up going and having a bowl of this myself....It was heaven in a bowl and Maureen had told us we had to try it, next time I'll just listen the first time;)
191.jpg

Our drinks arrived shortly after we were back at the table....Jasmine had her lava smoothie and I had a tropical mojito....yummy doesn't begin to describe this drink....I wished they would have come by the pitcher! Jasmine expressed that she was happy as she didn't want to have to carry me to the bus.....that girl:rolleyes1
192.jpg

Here is Jasmine's plate...as you can see besides the salmon which she loves, she tends to eat at the children's pod!!
193.jpg

My plate...and I have to say I didn't go for seconds......
194.jpg

Couldn't resist a picture of my happy and contented daughter.....
195-1.jpg

Maureen was sweet enough to take this one for us.....
196.jpg

Then I insisted I get one of her and Jasmine. I have to say, she was hands down the best server we had on this trip! She was sure she had waited on us before saying she recognized Jasmine. She actually looked after the table beside us 2 years ago when we went...we remembered her too! So if you have an ADR and Maureen is working, ask to be seated in her section....she was a sweetheart!!!
197.jpg

We decided to sit a minute before we went for dessert! I couldn't wait to have a nice cup of coffee (they have great coffee at Boma) with my dessert. So while we waited, I took some pictures
198.jpg

Just a shot of some fellow diners in the restaurant
199.jpg

The first section of desserts...they are so yummy here and I love how they're bite sized so you can have more....yeah that's it, cause there's not as many calories:rolleyes1

The famous zebra domes......

Lobby shots....can't wait to be back here next summer!

We decided since it wasn't that late that we would grab the DTD bus and then head back to the resort from there. By the time we got to DTD we decided we would wander around for a little bit. Sorry, no pictures of this, I decided to just enjoy a wonderful evening with my daughter!

I love BOMA too. I think dinner is the best. Maybe that is because they have my favorite thing in the world...zebra domes! They had this awesome coconut rice once when we were there. Joe still talks about it!!!

After the awful server you had at Kona I'm so glad you got an exceptional one at this meal :thumbsup2 Sounds like a wonderful evening! :)

Sorry I am so behind! Only 5 weeks left in my fall semester so hopefully I can try and stay caught up! I am looking forward to winter break for more DIS time

I am also a huge fan of DHS!

That's such a cute picture of you and Jasmine!

I love the theming of TSM you always see something new every time you go through it!

I just finished reading that Pretty Little Liars book! Did Jasmine enjoy it?

Oooo crab bisque at Boma sounds good!

Boma always looks like such a nice restaurant we will have to visit there at some point!

Going to DTD sounds like a great way to end a wonderful Disney day!

Queen.. I am so glad that I came across your trip report. I have enjoyed reading every detail. Its like reliving the trip with you. I must like it because my computer right now is somewhat broken and it has taken me about 2 hours to go through all the posts:eek:
It is making me so excited to go in May.. I definitely know that I will be taking tons of pictures so that I will always remember my trip.. We are going the week of MOthers Day.. So excited! Thanks for sharing.. I look forward to reading more.. even about the spiders.. :)

Queen, great posts. I always seem to read your TR when I'm hungry & you're post make me even more hungry!
I have never had chocolate croissants before. I'm a chocoholic, so I'm sure I would LOVE it!

That is the BEST picture of you & Jasmine at DHS!

I can't believe how many books Jasmine read on the trip.

great update!!!! I have Kingdom Keepers that I've been trying to read on every trip but I haven't gotten very far!! I usually take 2 magazines with me too!!

Looks like a good start to the day!

I read the 1st KK before our Disney trip.

I have to be noisy and ask if Jasmin has an account I am sure I am not the only one that wants to get to know her

I am enjoying your TR so much - maybe more than anyone's. I think it's the Mother/Daughter thing pulling my heart strings!!!

Looking forward to more. :surfweb:
