Hiya

Just been watching TV travel shop (UK). A programme about Thrill/Extreme rides and Spiderman was heavily featured.

Is this ride really as good as they say?

I don't like simulators as a rule but have heard good things about Spidernman but would like a bit of impartial feedback.

Spiderman is fantastic. It's no like any other simulator ride I've ever been on. It's 3-D and when all the effects are working, it's the best thing going! The final "fall" is so real and so wonderful. In short, yes, this ride is as good as they say.

THE best ride in Orlando IMHO! WE rode it so many times we knew the script of by heart!!!!!

I rode Spiderman for the first time last month, and it blew me away! It was our longest wait, but it was worth it! I kept saying Wow! after we got off, and talked about it for a while after. I have never ridden the Mummy at Universal, but I wonder how it compares?

Oh yes it is so much BETTER than the programme showed (it's been an excellent weekend on that channel with all the shows for thrill seekers, I've barely moved from the living room!), a lot of the effects were missing on the show as most of the footage was during development and building of the ride.

It's not just your average simulator, it's totally immersive. Enjoy!

Its really good and I have a video of it on my computer. I know I have been on it so many times that I can say the whole script. I love this ride, but to me ROTM is more of a thrill.

The Spiderman ride is great. It's my favorite in IOA. A lot of fun. At least give it a try.

Kinda big at 99megs, but it's the entire ride, in color with sound.

It's a good ride, but i was pretty dissapointed at the beginning. All the 3D effects were ruined by some tall guy's head in front of me. And my boyfriend thought he was going to hurl. The ride was pretty intense.

I may go on it again someday and try and sit in the front and see if it makes a difference. But not sure if we'll be returning to IOA any time soon. We weren't that impressed. I think next time we'll do US.

IMO, an excellent ride!!! My 6yo, however, wasn't as impressed. Not wanting to leave him outside by himself while we rode it again, we simply instructed him to remove his 3-D glasses. With them off, the effect is much less intense. Just a tip for other roller-coaster families with an ever-so-slightly skittish little one in tow. I'm looking forward to getting back there oh so very soon...

I left that ride with my jaw hanging open I was in such AWE over that ride.
We took our friend, who is a disney CM, on that ride...he'd never been on it before...he ALSO was in awe...and said that was the best ride in Orlando.

I could ride that ride all day. It's just flat out amazing. Yes - Return of the Mummy is fun...but Spiderman, IMO, is something completely different.

Spiderman is amazing! Its 3d, motion simulator, special effects- it has everything! If you go to US/IOA this is one you can't miss along with The Mummy Ride. Just be sure to do single riders line or express pass, w/ single riders line last week we only waited about 10 minutes !

Please do not tell me that you just said return of the mummy. I think that REVENGE OF THE MUMMY is really good. IT is definetly my favorite. I know spiderman is amazing with all of the 3-D and stuff, but when I want a ride with amazing effects and intense speeds I go to the mummy. No offense to Spiderman, but after I rode it for the uptinthmiliionth time I got tired of it. Now when I go on I have fun learning the position of the cars and how effects work. It is really fun to understand the ride

Spiderman is a wonderous piece of technology. Far superior than Back to the Future. You need to ride it a few times though to get the story.

It is like nothing you will have experienced before and is totally state of the art - you must go on it. It isn't like Back to the Future or simulators of that type.

Basically you sit in a car like a regular ride but go into different scenes where the 3D action is, the car also moves about reacting to what you are seeing. It is the best ride we have ever been on and has to be experienced. Please, please go on it.
