Spiderman vs. Star tours

star tours is too jerky for me.
the seat belt does nothing to keep you from moving around in that ride.

spiderman roxs......

I have pretty bad MS.. and Star Tours took it out of me a good deal, but although Spidey is no walk in the park for me, I handled it better than Tours. Hope this helps.

I get a little motion sick on some rides. I can handle Star Tours even though sometimes I feel a little off afterward. Spiderman doesn't bother me at all.

I'm weird though, the only rides that ever really made me sick was Body Wars and Jimmy Neutron. I don't think that anyone else is bothered by Jimmy Neutron. I haven't tried Mission Space yet....

Mission Space is alittle intense, but they do have a soft ride side.
Think of Soarin-MS is more intense then this!!

Spiderman is fine for me, but made my Dad very motion sick. However, we both had motion sick problems on Men in Black and Cat in the Hat (this ride, so innocent sounding, but the cars spin during approx 75% of the ride. Simpsons was fine for me but Jimmy Neutron made me motion sick. Will ride this one in the 'stationary/non-moving' area next time...

Motion sickness is such an awful feeling - it's interesting how everyone reacts to different rides...

I get a little queasy everytime I ride Star Tours, but I can't help myself! Spiderman doesn't seem to bother me though!

we rode the high-test version twice in a row one early morn:crazy:

glad we skipped breakfast, we've done the cluck-cluck version since...call me chicken;)

I think the better analogy for Spidey is Roger Rabbit's Toontown Spin, for folks who've been to DL. Lots of sudden stops, turns, and spins but still a ride and not a virtual reality experience.

The ride I'd be concerned about for your son is the Simpsons. It's not a good ride for the motion sickness prone and definitely has its roots in Star Tours.

Speaking of which, I'm going to spend from now until our next trip figuring out how to enable DH to go on the Simpsons. He loves the Simpsons and would love the ride, but he's incredibly prone to motion sickness. If anyone has any successful remedies, please let me know.

Spiderman is a bit rougher and more fun but not all that much....For me I have vertigo so I have to close my eyes on all of them but the kids make me do them anyway.............

I am fine with Spidey and Star Tours just about but Simpsons on the other hand made me feel sick as did the old Back to the Future. Spiderman is my fave ride at IOA/Universal and to me not to be missed. If he is fine on Star Tours I think he will be ok with Spiderman.

I get motion sickness, if Star Tours had been a minute longer I would have lost it :scared: Spiderman does not bother me unless I ride it multiple times in a row.
