was just looking at some old pics and i gotta say, the spiderman ride is got to be the best. Ive been on all the ride at disney and universal and spidey takes the cake......way to go universal. just another thorn in disneys side....lol:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

i'll agree it's an excellent ride....one of DH's favs.... :charac4:

As a huge Disney fan, I gotta say that Spiderman is currently the best ride in, at least, all of Florida.

I rode it twice tonight and I always get a kick when first timers are in the same vehicle because they always say "wow!" when you arrive to the very first screen.

Dumb question....Is Spiderman similar to Back to the Future? I know that it is probably a hundred times better quality but is it the same type of simulator ride? If not, does it go upside down or anything like that? I am a big chicken when it comes to rides.

It is a 3D simulator ride but you are in a vehicle that actually travels from one room to another.
Your vehicle does not go upside down but it does move around a lot.
If you get concerned, just take off your 3D glasses and you can see the "non-reality" of it.

Think of it as a mixture of a dark ride and a 3D version of Back to the Future.

it IS a simulator....i think the only difference is spidey is in 3D....like damo said, if it's too intense, take yer shades off!:3dglasses

BLASPHEMOUS!!! Spider man is a completely immersive 6D ride. It is a simulator, true. It does have 3D true. It does move room to room, true. But the environment of the rooms interact with you, not to mention you feel every bump and hit and knock that the characters on screen do to you. The scene at the end still makes me close my eyes. Its not scary, because you are not really doing anything but moving back and forth and side to side, but your brain tells you that you are jumping from rooftop to rooftop....your brain tells you YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!! But....there is nothing intense or bad that really happens...its all mental.
