Spicey is gone

We love our three cats almost as much as our children. I will not be able to bear losing my two little tabbies that I bottlefed from birth, but they are only five years old now, so I have lots of time with them. We had to put down our beloved Cosby last July. Cosby was having some health problems and was 18 years old. It was not a hard decision, but I could not make it. Rick made it for me and took Cosby into the vet while I waited in the car. It was over quickly.

I know you from TUG! I am another person who suffers from sun allergies. I am considering a DVC resale purchase from Seth Nock. I watch these boards and have rarely posted, but for this one, I had to tell you how sorry I am.

I am always sad to see cats running loose in our neighborhood. I never know if they have a home but are just exploring or if they are lost or homeless. I wish people would keep their cats indoors because if they roam too far, they may never find home again. Worse yet, an animal can get them.

{{{Hugs}}}, Pat. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

My thoughts and prayers to you for your loss.

Spicey seemed like a very nice kitty.

Hugs, Goldi

Oh spiceycat, I'm so sorry! I've been in your shoes. Putting my beloved Fat Cat to sleep was probably one of the hardest most heartbreaking decisions in my life. I still cry when I think about it (and it was almost 10 years ago now).

We had our 7 year old cat die suddenly a couple of months ago. Seemingly healthy cat and he just up and died. The vet thinks he had heart failure. We were all heartbroken.

So sorry! :sad1:

So sorry for your loss. There is nothing worse.

I, too had to put my pet to sleep for the same reason - acute renal failure. It came on within days. Diagnosed and put to sleep 48 hours later. Two days before my trip here to Disney. It is the most painful thing in the world.

I will tell Maxwell, my lovely Schnauzer, to put a call into your Spicey Cat so they can become friends in a wonderful world where they no longer have to suffer.

Connie

Oh I'm soo sorry. Its hard to lose a beloved family member ( and yes I consider pets family members). Spicey was lucky to have someone who loved him so much. :grouphug:

I haven't been on the boards for several months now, so I thought I'd check in and see how everyone was doing and what was going on, and I just read your horribly sad news!

I'm so sorry for your loss. :sad1: My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for you! We have two cats and I love them with all my heart. They are so full of love and give such joy to our family. In fact the only part of traveling to WDW that I do not like is leaving them behind, even though we make sure they are well cared for.

It is hard to lose a beloved pet and I am sorry. Take comfort in all the kindness you gave that kitty while he was alive! So many animals have indifferent owners or worse, and I know your guy was a king!

Colleen

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Spicey. The thoughts and condolences of pet owners and friends here on the DIS are with you.

Regards,
Joe

Pat,

I know exactly how you feel. We had to put our Tigger to sleep on Sunday. She had cancer and we could tell that she was suffering and knew that we just couldn't keep her with us one more day. If there is a heaven for cats, I hope that she and Spicey are there together enjoying a nap in the sun. :cat: :cat:

I have a 17 year old cat that I cherish so I understand just how hard it is. I'm so sorry for your loss.
