About how much do you usually spend on souvenirs? I'm just not sure how much money I should take? I'm on the magic your way plus dining so resort, tickets and meals are included, but how much extra should I bring for spending money? :)

3 weeks ago when I was there I spent about $300. I bought photo frames, photo albums, pearls at epcot (and had them set), a few christmas ornaments, a tee shirt, a few gifts for my family back home. Quite a bit of stuff but you could spend more or less it just depends on what you are after.

What kind of pearls do they have at Epcot and where did you buy them ? My DM's birthday is during our trip and she would love that.

We spent about $300 for T-shirts, frames, photo album, toys, edible goodies to give out to our family back home.

In the Japan pavillion you can pick an oyster (there is a very loooong thread on this) for $14 that has a pearl in it. They range in color and size. Then if you choose (no pressure there) you can have it mounted into jewelry.

I would bring 100 or150$ depending on how many dyas you are going....I usually bring the money that I have saved up no matter what the amount is(as long as it is reaosnable)...I plan to slupge when I go to MNSSHP.lol

:dance3:

But that is how much I would bring(im 13) but you may want to bring more or less depending on if you like to buy alot of sovieners or not.lol.

We are a family of 4 and spend about $500 - $600 per trip. DH and I pick out one framed art to go with our collection and that takes up a good chunk of the money. :goodvibes

Depends on if this is your first trip or not. Our first trip, we lost our minds. :teeth: Every thing looked cool. Every one purchased silly disney hats, that we promptly lost before the night was up. Now every one gets 1 tee-shirt and 1 additional souvenir. Last August I spent ~300 bucks over a 12 day stay.

A couple of years ago, they had a really sweet motorcycle jacket in mgm that I treated myself to, but this was really special

I agree that it depends on what number trip it is. We don't even budget for souvenirs anymore. Last trip I believe we bought the Haunted Mansion Clue game and I think someone in our group bought a hat to keep the sun out of their eyes. We do enjoy wandering through the shops, but we typically don't feel the need to buy anymore.

I budget about $3-400 for souvenirs, but know that I most likely won't spend it all. We have usual items that we buy each trip, such as hat for DH, photo frame or 2 for family pic's, a few pins to add to our collection and then usually an updated shirt for DD, DH and self. Now that they have the scrapbook store at DTD, I'm sure I'll be buying a few items from there as well.

The last time I went to Disney, I spent $300 on souviners, not including the few hundred I spent on pins. That was on photo albums, scrapbook supplies, pressed pennies, cds, (they're what cost the most, bought 5, and were over $100,) gifts for people, and pets, back home.

Then I spent another $350 after that on pins.

I usually spend anywhere from 500-700 dollars. It depends on what you are after. I will usually buy 3-4 snowglobes and ship them back home, so that take a lot of the $$$.

We are a family of 3, 2 adults and a child and we'll be there for 8 nights, 9 days. I have 2 days at each park and 1 night for mvmcp and 1 night for Downtown Disney. I especially think I'm going to love shopping at the Christmas store in the DD marketplace. I lOVE christmas decorations and we'll be there in December. I'll probably have about $300 to spend.

I budget $10 per day per person for little treats and $50 per person per trip for larger items. So for my family of 3 that totaled $360 for a 7 day trip.

That said, having a budget is nice, staying in my budget is a different story. I spent $650. So in in my convaluted way of justifing things I spent $290. ;)

I don't have issues; I have subscriptions.

I am to embarrassed to say how much I spend after reading everyones posts. I love to shop on vacation especially at Disney so I save extra for it. It's bad enough that the cms tell my DH he might want to keep me out of the shops. Thats not going to happen though. ;)

My sentiments exactly! I was beginning to think something was very very wrong with me! Glad to see I'm not alone!

We've been going to WDW since 1977 and after 38 some trips you would think we own everything but, not true. We buy as we like, not nuts but most items are park items and can not be purchased when you get home. I have my likes and wife does to, our biggest problem is getting the stuff home but now we just have them ship it, so easy and its like Christmas when the box or boxes arrive.
