Spending money for a 5 year old

I will probably buy my DS one or two items that he would like the whole time we are there (9 days). My DS doesn't really ask for a lot of things and usually buy him whatever he really wants. We are on the dining plan so any snacks will be covered. So, his spending money is about $40.

My kids are saving change and allowance in a big jar. They should have close to $200 each, although I don't think they'll spend it all. "Tinkerbell" visits each night delivering small trinkets and candies. Gotta love additional half off clearance items at the Disney store. I'm not sure that $5 a day would be enough. You may want to give the one lump sum thing a try. It teaches them how to budget too, as long as you don't give in once the money is gone . Either way, good luck and have fun.
