Speedos in the Pool

We were in WDW two weeks ago and my BIL just did wear it without any problem.
No body looked or made funny noises. Its only the self appointed Dis Speedo police that obviously has something against this kind of swim wear.
The rudeness of thinking inappropriate toughs are in the heads that kan't keep there eyes of other people.
There are the "Peeping Tom's" not you.

I just have to chime in :) ...since you asked! I grew up in a German American family and am female, married for 21 years to a Brit and have spent a lot of time traveling/living in Europe...so I consider myself fairly "European" in attitude. But there is no way that I would give the thumbs up to the hideous "grape smuggler". Please don't. And from my lounge chair, some swim trunks that leave more to the imagination do a much better job selling a man's better assets :thumbsup2

A banana hammock is the term for the piece of material that a male stripper uses to encase his.......you know.

And no, I will not explain how I know that. ;)

I am not going to be performing "The Full Monty" and stripping off to my knickers. I simply asked a question and thought that this forum was for that. Little did I know that I was going to start the next American Revolution over a bathing suit and offend so many of you and your mates. Simply put, we will be guests in your country and would rather not offend so I will leave it on this side of the pond.

First of all let me preface by saying I am European and I know Americans do not wear them as much as we do, but I got a new Speedo for my birthday and wondered if they are allowed at the resort pools? We will be on holiday for 1 week in September.

As PP have mentioned, there are plenty of folks that are comfortable wearing suits that show stuff people would rather not see.

I do not have the body to wear a bikini, much less a thong, so i will not be wearing one-
y'all can thank me later :lmao:

That being said, I think an appropriately sized speedo is fine...

In May 2005 when my family was at Blizzard Beach, there was a young man (early 20's) waiting behind us in a slide line in an extremely small sized FLESH tone speedo that left nothing and i mean NOTHING to the imagination :scared1:

It was obscene- he might as well have been wearing nothing.
I was surprised that they allowed him to stay because wearing a speedo is fine :thumbsup2,
wearing a really tight speedo is a little out there ,
but wearing a totally FLESH colored super tight we-can-ALL-see-every-graphic-detail
("quick, kids, get in front of me" "Why, Mom?" "Just DO IT!!!") speedo is not family friendly at all
That was done on purpose and it was really gross.
Our kids were 11 and 14 and I really did not want either one to see that at WDW.
Of course, now, looking back, we chuckle- they say you need to keep an eye out for snakes at the water park... but who knew! ;)

Since the OP's gotten his answer, and we're dancing on the thin edge of 'family friendly' with some of the comments in this discussion, we'll end it here. :)

The last thread that I remember a couple of months back with the mention of speedos had to be closed by a moderator.
