Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

Great PP picture! How fun to go to OMD all together, I bet it was wonderful to just take a much time as you wanted.

OMG!!!! (and I don't use that very often ;)) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pic of you ladies in front of the hat--it is fabulous with a capital F!

I hope you got a group pic in front of each of the 4 major icons...that would be so fun :)

Agreed! Incredible shot! Thanks for the OMD photos too. We have not done that attraction yet, but now that my kids are older, I might be able to convince them with these photos:). The oldest will be no problem, he is Disney history buff, even planned a day trip last spring to Walt's hometown of Marceline, MO at his request. We got some cool photos of the Dreaming Tree & main street, which is the inspiration for the Main Street at Disneys parks. I can post if any one is interested.

My 10 year old ride junkie might be a tougher nut to crack or a speed tour through. I'll pair him w/his dad:). Sometimes he has patience, interest, and attention span, sometimes not so much, you just never know. I was describing my 10 year old, but after reading it sounds eerily like my husband LOL. I'm the only person in my house w/o a whopping case of ADHD:)

Great update Kathy. I love One Man's Dream. But can I tell you something - My younger son (since the time he was about 10 or 11) absolutely loves that exhibit and can easily spend an hour in there. My attention span is much lower than his for that attraction. I stood in awe as he scanned every detail. It was fascinating to watch him. I literally had to drag him away and into the movie.

I have a very old Mickey Mouse (plastic toy) that my mother found at a garage sale. I have no idea exactly how old it is. (At least 50 I would guess) It used to speak by pulling a sting, but I think Nick pulled the string too many times. I would love to see it in an exhibit like that and I wonder what I would need to do to get it there. It just sits upstairs with the rest of my Disney stuff, but it would be so cool to allow other people to enjoy it.

I always get misty at the end of the movie, too. Its such a wonderful, inspiring rags to riches story. What fortitude. He really was an amazing man.

Yup, certified Disney geek here!

thanks again Kathy for the great post to move us along... :goodvibes

we had the movie as a time guide for wondering...I knew I'd be back to see and read more later in Oct when I am back w/ my hubby. But it was cool to see the new things they added after the refurb

My kids enjoy it too...especially my son Nathan too. He loves to read (like his twin sister Bekah) so they actually were jealous of my pixs and the new stuff.

WOW that is great...my Mom coments remembering having some of these old toys or seeing them too, to bad they never thought to save them

Happy Valentine's Day!

This was my first time visiting One Man's Dream. I had wanted to visit in September/October on my other girls weekend trip but it was closed for rehab. A lot of us probably took the same pictures, but I'll share a few of my favorites. I LOVED all of the miniature park/attraction models.

It was really fun to see the models of some of the other parks. These were two of my favorite exhibits:

Great group shot!!!!

We haven't done One Man's Dream in a very long time, it was down our past couple trips I believe - I need to add that to the list, I had forgotten about it in my DHS notes!!

It was just refurbed!!! YES add it to the list.

Ariana loves One Man's Dream. She enjoys looking at everything and would spend a tremendous amount of time there if she could! DS15 and DS6 like OMD but are usually eager to move on to other things pretty quickly. It was nice to meander through the exhibits and it would be my first time seeing the movie too!

Here's a few of my favorite shots.

Watching the movie was awesome. I knew bits and pieces of Walt's history but also learned many new things too. :cloud9:

I too LOVED seeing all the minatures...they were so neat to look at and am looking forward to seeing them again and looking at more details...Nathan loved seeing the pictures of Mr. Lincoln...he loves telling us the story of the first time he spoke and had fell over.

it is fun to see how so many of our beloved attractions and icons came to life... :goodvibes

Funny, Nathan remembering that story about the Abe Lincoln AA... was it from the Modern Marvels: WDW dvd? Billy has watched that one dozens of times....

Kathy

Great OMD pictures. That is one attraction I have never done because I figured the kids would be bored, maybe I will have to see it!

Finally caught up. I haven't been around for awhile. I loved all the updates and it was great reading the different viewpoints. Can't wait to read more.

Please excuse our TR, it is being refurbished for your future enjoyment....

Nah, we exceeded the bandwidth on our group PhotoBucket account, that's all! Pix should be visible again after Feb 24th.

Thanks for your patience!
