Spectromagic Parade and Wishes 10/18

Hi Everyone!
Just a quick question - It is our first trip with the kids 5 & 2 to Disney! We are leaving this weekend and are sooo excited.

I am trying to figure out where the best place to see the Spectromagic parade and Wishes is. I have read some other posts but I am confused as to how long the parade is. It says it starts at 8:00 and the Wishes is at 9:00. Is it right after the parade or do people leave and come back.

If we watch the parade in Fromtierland like some have suggested can you see the Wishes fireworks from there or do we need to run to main street. I can't see lining up on main street 2 hours in advance with impatient kids!

Any advice would be great!

We were at MK Thanksgiving week last year. We grabbed some corn dogs and hot dogs and sat at the corner of Main St. in front of Casey's Corner (where we purchased the food) about 45 minutes before Spectromagic with our DDs 3 and 4. There are some cast members that may entertain the crowd so it's really not that bad. I think if you plan ur dinner around that time or a small snack, that should keep the kids busy. Also, we didn't leave after Spectromagic. Not alot of people do. Stay in your spot if it's a good one! That corner is the best! However, there will be a lot of traffic exiting the park.

You can see wishes from pretty much anywhere in the park- however the best place to see it is from th front side of the castle pretty much anywhere on main street. We like to stand just before the bridge that goes to the hub( pretty much next to caseys corner). As for moving around after the parade you may find that you can't get a spot to sit in, but other than that you should be fine.
