Hello -- I'm arriving Oct. 9 and was wondering if that would be a good night to see SpectroMagic. We arrive at 10:00AM. We figured we take it easy and relax at the hotel and maybe have dinner in the park and stay for the parade. The only other option will be to go on Oct. 11 when there are two times listed. We were planning to go to MK on Sunday as an EMH so we really don't want to stay up too late Saturday. Any suggestions or comments?

I'm extremely new to posting so any suggestions or comments or directions to new posters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!purple

I would love to know too! We will be there the 4th-12th, and were planning to take the 9th as a "no park" day to rest. It seems it would be better to see Specrto on Thursday rather than the dreaded Saturday night of Columbus Day weekend, but I hate to waste a whole day of our park hoppers on it. We had planned MK for Wed and I would just switch our Wed plans for Thursday, but we have impossible-to-change CRT PS on Wed for dd's birthday...so I guess we'll be fighting the crowds Saturday night. We're going to try for the later parade hoping the crowds will be a bit better. What do you think? Should we go Thursday night instead? Or will the second parade on Sat be do-able?

Laurie :)

I don't beleive there is going to be an Illuminations fireworks on the 9th so in my opinion this is going to cause Spectromagic and FITS fireworks to be much more packed that day!

On the other hand there was a rumor that they may debut the new Wishes fireworks that day, so if they do, you may want to see them. I would keep an eye on these boards for updates as well as check on the World Update and Times Guide while you are at WDW to see if they are doing Wishes or not!

I have a similar dilemma. We are going 4-11th and planned to see Spectromagic first night after dinner at Chef Mickey's. Now I am thinking we might go back Thursday since Epcot closes early, and we are seeing Illuminations on Tuesday and Fantasmic on Wednesday. If we get our fill of MK by then though we might skip it and do downtown Disney or Boardwalk. If we fly home Sunday (which we probably will) then we might fight crowds on Saturday - or just do rides and not wait to see parade if we see it on prior nights!

At least we have lots of options!
