I thought I read that there is only 1 Spectro per week in October...does anyone know if this is correct? With the FT Package this year, it sounds like October is going to be very, very busy. What are the chances of them having Spectro on a second night...and if so, which night do you think it would be? Also, when do they usually announce the actual parades/hours for October (I've seen the projected hours based on previous years)? TIA

Usually there is only one Spectro unless you go during the summer months or during a holiday week.
Before 9/11 they sometimes they would have the parade once during the week during the slower periods, usually on a Wednesday, but I do not think that they do that any more.
I would guess that October hours will be posted in Mid August or so.

I think it's safe to plan that you could see Spectro on any Saturday night, but I've also heard that it occasionally runs on Wednesday IF Thursday is a MNSSHP.

UPDATE: Just checked last year's October schedule: Spectro ran only on Saturday nights in spite of the MNSSHP.

FURTHER UPDATE: Just found this on another thread: am adding it here for info:

"All I can say is, it pays to save. While planning our itinerary for Oct. 03 I had the same question, so I looked in my Disney souvenir bag from Our Oct 02 trip found the Times and info guide for Oct 16-31. Spectromagic was listed on the following days Wed Oct 16, Sat Oct 19, and Sat. Oct. 26 what this tells me is for some reason they had a Wednesday included, was it because it coincided with MNSSHP I don't know. Maybe we could get a little more help on this subject."

With thanks to Searlproudbottom . . . . . . . .

It was only on Saturday when we went last year. It wasn't terribly crowded either.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I found the other thread Donna in Oz and read it through...I agree with some of the posters on that thread: I'm kind of hoping for fewer crowds but it would also be really nice to have longer hours (we're used to going in the summer)...I guess we'll have to wait & see which we prefer after this trip...smaller crowds or longer hours...I guess we can't have it all ;). I just changed our "Spirit of Aloha" reservations so we can keep our Saturday nights free for Spectro.
