We are arriving on 11/30 and are currently scheduled to have dinner at Mama Melrose for the FDP at 3:30 with Fantasmic at 7:00. That same night is Spectro at 7:00 and Wishes at 8:00--which is the only early showing of both the entire time we are there. There is a 9:00/10:00 showing on Saturday but I think I'll be pushing it with another late night for the kids (ages 2 & 4) since we have MVMCP on 12/1.

If you had to choose between the two, which would you choose and why?

Any way to see Fantasmic on another night?

But you also have the option of seeing Wishes during MVMCP and only missing Spectro.

Tough choice.

I would choose Spectro/Wishes hands down. I am partial as this is my favorite nighttime show but, for you I choose it because as you said it's the only early showing while your there. Furthermore the Sat. night offering is the day they are taping the Christmas parade at MK so it could be a madhouse. With Fantasmic being offered everynight I would just choose another night to see it. :wave2:

If you are doing MVMCP then you will see a version of Wishes on that night. We saw MNSSHP and they had "Hallowishes" which was awesome. There also will be a parade for MVMCP, not Spectromagic (which is great), but a nighttime parade nonetheless. With that said I would so Fantasmic. Plus if you are staying at Poly you can catch Wishes from the hotel. Either way HAVE A GODD TIME!!

Spectro/Wishes hands down! Wishes is incredible, and the version you'll see at MVMCP is different from the regular Wishes (they are both great). SpectroMagic is such a wonderful parade, your kids will love it!

We'll be at MVMCP the same night as you!

The only way I might be able to would be our last night (Monday 12/5) but I wouldn't be able to do the dining package.

I would do Spectro/Wishes. Especially with your kids' ages, I think they would enjoy those more.

I would see Fantasmic! another night if possible. I wouldn't be too concerned about doing it with the dining package. Just head to the theater about an hour or 45 minutes ahead of time and grab dinner there (concession stands are in the back of theater). With the Osborne Lights going on in the evening, that will filter some of the people away from Fantasmic! and you should have no problems getting a seat.

Don't worry about the dinner package. Just try to get to the 2nd showing of Fantasmic and you'll be fine. :) Make sure to get Wishes/Spectro in there because it's amazing.

If you're more into "theater/drama/special effects", Fantasmic. If you're more in the mood for "thrills/lights/action", Wishes/Spectro. Probably not the best way to categorize, but it's the best I could come up with.

The kids would probably enjoy Wishes/Spectro more.

Keep an eye out for 2nd showings of Wishes/Spectro. They did so in October with only 2 or 3 weeks notice on the calendars.

I pitty you if you choose any of those OVER Wishes!

Spectro/ Wishes! I absolutely LOVE Spectro and Wishes is amazing. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem getting to Fantasmic without the dining package. I never had a problem.

Thanks for the advice everyone!!! I think it is going to work out best to do Spectro/Wishes our first night when it is offered at the earlier time and we will try for Fantasmic without the dining package on our last night. Thank you so much for your help!

Grab a spot for Spectromagic around Frontierland for the 7 pm show which will pass by Frontierland at about 7:20 when it's over stake a spot in front of the castle(not too close) and catch Wishes. You can't miss these two.Illuminations is also a must do for me,I like Fantasmic but Wishes, Spectro and Illuminations are a cut above.
