Spectro Magic Refurb has started.

A freind of mine also posted this at WDWmagic but the Spectro Floats have been worked on the last couple of days behind Splash Mountain. They are refurbing and the music was playing.

I think it will be back for this summer season mainly because it is much cheaper to refurb Spectro than to create a new parade.

Oh how I hope you are correct. The music to Spectro makes such a HUGE difference. To me MSEP is a nice experience, but Spectro really brings an extra little piece of Disney magic to being in the MK after dark. Spectro, MMY, & Wishes would make an awesome nighttime line up.

Any guesses on how soon Spectro will be ready? We have a trip in late June and would love to see Spectro back.

If I had to guess if it really is coming back because they have been doing this for months it appears it would be near July.

Hopefully sooner than later. Wishes is old and stale and needs to be replaced. If you've seen the new show out of Paris you'd see why Wishes needs to go the way of the dodo. It's had a great run, but we've come a long way since Wishes was created.

If they replace Wishes (Which would make some sense since it's been around so long.), I wouldn't be too surprised if they waited until the Fantasyland Expansion was done. It would make it much easier to market and maybe even tie in some common themeing/elements/whatever into the show.

Hell.... I also wouldn't be shocked if they incorporated some of the MM&Y show tech into the new fireworks show.

I suppose you are right but I just have some sentimental value on the Wishes fireworks since I used to work the rope across Main Street by Casey's for the show when it first started in 2003.

I mean, it really hasn't even been 10 year and Fantasy in the Sky was there for how long? Maybe they will wait until 2013?

I worked back in that area (Production Center) a couple of times the last week of March and the first week of April and there was no work going on with the Spectro floats at that time. Some MiSiCi floats got repainted but that was it. Will be back there in about a week and a half and will look.

Floats have been taken to another location back an forth since January.

if Spectro was back by June 24th....that would be make my already perfect upcoming trip even more magical!!! I was last in WDW in 2008 and couldn't imagine not seeing Spectro again!! The music is just very sentimental!!!

June 24th is too close in time. I don't think they would bring it back with only a 10 days notice.

Anyway, for the next month, everything will be about California Adventure at Disneyland Resort.

As other said, I would take a guess for the grand opening of the New Fantasyland for the return of Spectromagic and maybe a new fireworks show!

Well, my kids could care less which one it is as long as we see it at least once during our trip. But DH & I prefer the Spectro Magic though so I hope it's back soon.
