Today's bit of trivia combines Star Wars with the music world. "Weird Al" Yankovic has written two songs involving Star Wars: "Yoda" based on "Lola" by The Kinks, and "The Saga Begins" based on "American Pie" by Don McLean. "The Saga Begins" tells the story of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and Al wrote it based on Internet rumors. He paid to see a charity pre-screening of the movie to check his lyrics, but the rumors had been so accurate that he made only minor changes to the song.
 

Adding 50 minutes of hiit cardio and an upper body workout for a total of 215/900.

I heard George Lucas loved 'The Saga Begins'. Not surprising because it is an awesome song. I love me some Weird Al.

I heard that too. And that Don McLean has said that his kids played it so much that sometimes he accidentally sings Al's lyrics when he does "American Pie."

It got to 100 degrees again yesterday. It's too hot/humid to run even in the early mornings, so I can't wait til the end of the month and some cooler weather. I'd like to start running again!

As a team, we're only 950 minutes from turning C-3PO Orange. Even with the holiday over and the work week starting, I'll bet this team can do that by the time I update on Wednesday night!:yay:
 
Reporting in with my last workout before leaving for WDW :earsboy:. 65 minutes of a snowboard workout, an abs&obliques workout and a butt&thigh workout brings my total to 280/900.

It's way, way too early to get too discouraged.

Quick check-in after the long weekend. As predicted all the family requirements kept me from doing a ton of exercise each day. I was very active, all weekend, but for consistencys sake for my own tracking, I am only counting "workout" time. So, I got 85 minutes in over the course of the three days. That was two 20 minute workouts and a 45 minute. I believe that brings me to 335/1000.

About to head out for a run. It is supposed to be 7 miles. But, it is already 80+ here with humidity in the 70% range and still rising. We'll have to see how that goes...
