We've booked a trip for this summer and are staying at Poly for the first time. We've been to Poly to eat several times (Spirit of Aloha dinner show, 'Ohana, and Kona), but haven't stayed there. We've stayed at the CR, so we've been on the monorail before too. I'd like to know what special things there are to do at Poly that resort guests can take advantage of. Since this is our fifth family trip I'm trying to plan one that is a little more relaxed. I know we'll spend a lot of time at the pool. What else should we plan on?

Each month they have calendar of events there. I know they have hula lessons in the lobby I thinkwhen we were ther in Aug it was at 3:45 everyday-unfortunately we were always in the parks trying to get to our dinner reservation. I'll have to check my papers & let you know more-gotta run & go to work!

We stayed 8 nights at the Poly this past Aug and had a blast. You didn't mention the ages of your children but there are a lot of fun activities. Every afternoon they teach Hula lessons in the lobby as well as making lei bracelets and necklaces. I think it is on Sat. that they do arts and crafts where you can paint your own tiki mask of wood. They also have a torch lighting ceremony every evening. We took advantage of all of these and our kids really enjoyed them. They also do a lot of games in the pool and smores on the beach at night not to mention being able to watch the water parade and fireworks!! Hope this helps.
