Today when I made my reservations for the WL-woods view I was asked about any special room requests. I did ask for somewhere on the 3rd-5th floor, but I am not sure beyond that what would be a great room to have. Does anyone have any suggestions for me, so I can call back and have a great room view. Probably closer to my trip I will try to switch to a courtyard or better if they are some great discount codes.?

I do have a handicapped child in a wheelchair, but I prefer to have a tub than a roll in shower. Are the handicapp accessiable rooms bigger?

There are quite a few rooms (courtyard view) that offer views of the pool, geyser, AND the lake. I think these are the best views at WL. Somewhere on these board I found the exact room numbers for these rooms, and I just faxed in a request for that room and got it!!

Does anyone have any more suggestions? As of now I asked to be on the higher floors on MK side, non smoking.

Just be aware that if you want an upgrade to the courtyard view, specify whether you want the main WL courtyard view or the Villas at WL courtyard view. We had the latter this past July. I had booked a woods view and was automatically upgraded to courtyard on the Villas side upon check-in. While this view was nice, it was not as nice as the main WL courtyard view, which I had had during a past visit IMHO. I could see neither the geyser or the lake or the MK fireworks. My view was of the WL Villas pool and small courtyard area. No geyser or waterfall brook. Just be specific with what you want. We were on the 4th floor.

I can vouch for room 5153 which is a (main WL) courtyard view. I could see the geyser, lake and the (partial) MK fireworks over the roof of the opposing wing. We were able to sit on our balcony at night and see the Electric Water Pagent.

We prefer woodsview, wing room(not lobby) as these rooms are quieter. We have friends that like woodsview, were upgraded to Courtyard and did not care for it. It can be LOUD to overlook the pool. We just said upper floor, quiet area, MK side and we wanted bunk beds. Enjoy the place:D !

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Sounds like the north wing(MK) is to request and a higher floor. I was thinking the higher the better the view. We do not mind looking into a forest of trees. At times that is very peaceful and relaxing. I do hope to get a slight view of the water parade or fireworks or maybe the castle, eventhough I have read that there are very few rooms that you can see the castle from. Anyone thanks again for the help. I love these boards!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

4th floor is good, overlooking the pond.

Just beware, make sure you aren't anywhere near the stairwell. On one of our trips, we asked for woods view overlooking the pond. They did indead put us overlooking the pond, but near the stairwell. All night we could hear people coming and going. The stairwell door didn't shut quietly either.....we'd be woken up by a BANG.

Also, we could hear the service trucks all night long as well.

Keep in mind that the top floor balcony is a bit different. Little ones have to be picked up to see over. We did not stay in one of these rooms, so I can't really describe the balcony. Maybe someone else can add info on this. You may be aware of this anyway, but someone else reading may not!
