Hi,

We are staying in a STANDARD STUDIO at the BWVillas. I have an autistic daughter who can not/will not ride in an elevator! I need to request a room on the same level as the lobby and bus stop. Since we put her in her stroller for long hauls, I need to be able to exit our hotel room door and get to the bus stop/ lobby w/o any stairs or elevators.

Which floor should I request for this? I understand it might be the 2nd floor - is this correct?

If so, are we able to exit our room and get to the boardwalk area w/o stairs or elevators as well?

THanks!

Lee Anne

The lobby is at second floor level.

However, the Boardwalk and all its attractions, including all the pools, is at first floor level, as are the boats to Epcot & MGM Studios.

I don't think there are buses to either MGM or Epcot, so Boardwalk is a VERY bad choice for you, if you are not prepared to carry your daughter and her stroller up and down at least one staircase.

You will be able to get to the BW, Epcot and MGM without using stairs, it's just a tad more roundabout. Standardview will be facing the front entryway. You need to request a first floor room. 1113 and 1119 are both studios that would work for you. When you want to go to the bus stop, you can walk to the end of the hallway (away from teh lobby and towards the tennis courts. There will be a ground level door there. Turn left to get to the bus stop, right will walk you to the end of the building. At that point make a left to walk along the path to MGM, or right to walk along the canal, past the pools. By the theme pool there is a "cut through" (past the arcade and health club) that will take you out to the boardwalk area. From there you can walk to Epcot, or take a boat to Epcot or MGM.

I would call and explain the situation and make sure they realize how important it is for you to get a first floor room (beginning with 10 or 11 (and the 11's will be closer to that door, 10's will be closer to the lobby.

BTW--You'll probably have somewhat of a fireworks view for Illuminations from your room, and you'll likely have ducks come visit you on your patio every morning. :)

Hope this helps!
