Special Member Rates For Alamo Rent A Car!

Millions of visitors to the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando and Disneyland® Resort in California will see their vacation experiences begin at Alamo Rent A Car under a new marketing alliance bringing together the nation's leading leisure-oriented car rental company and Disney's Parks and Resorts. The agreement names Alamo as the official rental car company of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
Alamo assumes this relationship from its sister company National Car Rental, which had a 22-year relationship with Disney. The shift comes in the wake of a new dual-brand strategy by ANC Rental Corporation, parent of Alamo and National, to focus Alamo on leisure travelers and National on business travelers.

Special rental rates are available to Disney Vacation Club Members who book through Member Services for any Membership-related travel. These special rates are available not only in Orlando but also for California, Hawaii, and most other U.S. locations.

Does anyone have any additional information on what the discount is? I'm looking to book a car for November 28 - December 7 and wondering if this a good option.

I'm told the Alamo agreement does not begin until 2003. I just booked a National Car Rental through MS for 12/7 - 14 (8 days) for $210. Mid size - unlimited miles.

Where Alamo and National are really the same company anyway, I would suspect the discounts through DVC MS would be pretty much the same.
