He is 13. At one point he was 90 pounds and the vet said he wasn't fat (both parents were very big springers). He is down to 55 pounds now.

I am very excited person tonight...I bought myself a precruise/preWDW present....I bought a new digital camera....it's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 9.1 MP and 10X optical zoom (yippee!!!)....I have wanted a new camera for a while....I wasn't pleased with my Christmas trip pictures from WDW so I have been doing some research....I saw some extremely favourable reviews here on the Dis about the Panansonic Lumix and people posted their pictures taken with the camera...when I saw these night shots I was sold!!!!! Check out MNWDWMANIC's picture of the Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth...

But I still wanted to see the camera for myself....so tonight I went to my local camera shop....they highly recommended the camera...the manager had one and LOVED IT....they even let me take the camera out into the mall to take some pictures and play around with it. The manager and salesgirl can't wait for us to get back from our trip so they can see my pictures (yes...I'm the wacko that prints ALL their pictures - they LOVE me). I can't wait to play with my new camera tomorrow once the battery is fully charged!!!!

I'm so excited...is it time for our cruise yet????????

We are spending two days at the Howard Johnson in Anaheim this weekend. Leaving in about 15 minutes. Can't wait to hit Disneyland. I need a mini vacation. It will be a little late Birthday celebration.

So silly me wanted to make everyone paper bag scrapbooks for my fish extender gifts. After about 20 I realized there is no way I can do this for 100+ people. LOL. So now I have to start back at square one and think of something else.

That is too funny, I was doing the samething and decided to do something different. I was thinking about contacting seaulater and seeing if she wanted to do something with the bags as a scrapbook project on the cruise. I beleive she was going to orgainize something. The books are bound ready to crop. If not I can use them for my next cruise in 2009.

Is it a point and shoot? We bought a Nikon Digital SLR a couple of years ago but there are times when it is just too big and cumbersome. I may have to check that camera out! Thanks for sharing!!

It is pretty compact, we like the Olympus Stylus 820 for small compact , Lynn carries it during Disney Races - 5X optical. We have used the Olympus SP500UZ, 10X zoom, used it fro trips to Tanzania.

The advantage of teh Olympus is it uses AA batteries, in Tanzania charging a battery pack is not always available.

Lithium batters ROCK, nice long life, for those situations.

I think it will take US 6 and a half months to complete the kitchen remodel, making any monies earned in Canada TAX Free!

We have 2 cabins for DH, DD and me. If we are using one credit card for the payment authorization for both cabins, I just fill it out and print it once, right? I did DH's first, and it has a place for him to authorize me and DD for charges, so I checked that. The other cabin is in my name, but I shouldn't have to fill out a payment authorization for my cabin, should I? Since I am already authorized on his payment authorization??

I don't want to mess this up. Last year's cruise, I filled out the forms online, but didn't print anything, thinking, "Hey, it's all in their computer, that's all they need". I got chastised at the port for not printing out all the forms!

Well, i had to spill our secret plan to my dd yesterday.

turns out they changed the start date of school. So, instead of missing the second week of school, my dd will now miss the first week of 2nd grade..
So, to prevent too many "surprises" at once, and any stress she might feel from that, i decided to tell her, to hope to prepare her for missing the school.
She is fine with it.. LOL and was SOOO excited to be going!!

So, i know i have talked with a couple of ladies here who have 7/8 yr old dd's going, if anyone else does, please let me know, my dd is an only child, but very social, and would love to make some friends!! She is really looking forward to the kids club!

We're finally getting things back together from the Memorial Day Weekend flood. Joe got the front room tiled and we've ordered slightly different tile for the family room area. Should be done by cruise time... But my handyman is only here part time...

Rainy day at the World today... kept the temps moderate though... yesterday was 95º with a heat index over 100º Gotta love FL in the summer!

Me "So they can find their door easily. All the doors look the same."

DH "You mean after a few adult beverages?"

Me "Yes or so the kids can find the doors"

DH "That's a good idea. Why don't you make some of those for us."

DH "What's that pocket thing next to that door stuffed with treats"

Me "That's a fish extender"

Me "Yes. On the Panama Canal Cruise Debbie gave them out as gifts to our group."

Me "Dry erase boards and markers. Linda is bringing some items so they can be decorated on the cruise."

Lets see a Canada trip for 6 months, I thought it was 330 days outta country, that is what the Iraq contracts run. Then there is a stop in Indiana, and maybe joe and Leslie need a hand in FL.

Makes me think, On another board I was requested in Tahoe. LOL

A co worker is have two very small baths redone, cost 25,000, all was to be done in 4 weeks, that was 7 weeks ago and only one bath is done. I offerred to help him.

Almost done with the second coat of mud will get that covered today.


Lesley, good luck with the veranda room, remember there are the life boat suites.

You are correct.....Tim found out the hard way after 60-75 day trips over seas and bad info from other contractors. Thankfully we have a good accountant who kindly corrected us.
