Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Good Morning Cruisers!

Looks like it will be a nice day here in Cheyenne - sunny, high about 60 degrees, and wind 20-30 mph!

Have a great day everyone!

BUMMER

Bob, is htat one of those Happy Kitty thingies???

Actually, they may still go. The last line says....
"We're continuing to explore many future itinerary options and, certainly, Alaska remains on our radar."

No, it is supposed to be a rabbit. Least that's what she said.
What is a Happy Kitty?

I have one of these here on the desk.....

A Fortune Cat.

Hey Georgie, have you got a Wii yet?
Mines about to kill me.:rotfl2:

Good Morning Cruisers!

Beautiful sunrise here - amazing colors!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Bob! No, no Wii yet! Maybe some day. Our computer is slowly leaving us. We may need to get a new one (UGH!) That is always difficult.

Our tree is still up :goodvibes We're hoping to get it down by March.

Elaine... I'm sure your "short" trip is longer than most people's "long" ones.:lmao: Magical Express has been great with us. It's been great not to have to pull the bags from the carousel. We did have one time when we arrived just prior to 10:00 pm where we had to retrieve the bags and take them to the ME bus by ourselves. It was a long haul. You will be fine.

Scott and Lynn! Welcome Back Home! Glad you had a fun and safe trip. It's warmer today where you are than it is here. Mouse Beach is supposed to be VERY cold... and we don't have our heat set to go on there. Hope there will be no frozen pipes!

Miss everyone badly! :flower3: :wave2: :flower3:

Well, you could just re-decorate it in red and white hearts. Valentine's Day will be here in a couple weeks.
Good luck on the computer.

This morn it was one degree waarmer here in FL over WY home, LOL.... n humidity at home.

Miss all of you too. I have that group picture at CC on my desk. It reminds me of warmer times.:goodvibes

When we had the -20 stuff last week, the weatherman said that it was actually warmer at the north pole that day than here.:scared:

Good Morning Cruisers!

We have lost our warm weather, currently snowing and 25, temps will be going down today, our high was 37 at midnight!

We finally got all the Christmas decorations put away yesterday, today I get to clean the house!

Have a great day!

We just got down tree #3 last night, gotta get out to the barn and get the out door lights organised and stowed away.

Winter has hit WY again, got snow last night and it is cooled off.

New computer purchase could be scarry, but I think there are some great deals to be had. (Just for Bob) Have you looked at the Macs????

Stay warm kids,

Scott & Lynn...please keep you winter weather south of the border!!!!!

The temperature here right now is a "balmy" 2ºC (35ºF)!!!! I was so happy that it was warm enough to finally be able to take my car through the car wash on the way home from work and get rid of all the road salt that has been covering it...it is nice to once again see a black car in the driveway instead of the salt covered car that I've had since early December!!!!

Elaine - our cold weather comes from Canada - what do you mean keep it south of the border!!!!! Tell that to your western provinces!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Morning All. Chores are done, time to play.
Went to the park.

Did the car wash thing, got the oil changed, bank, and groceries.
Pot Roast tonight Mike.

Yes, so many choices, so many options.:faint:
Sorry Scott, did the mac thing, before it was mac.:sad2: Then I turned from the darkside.:darth:
Quite happy with my 1 year old HP. :yay: . It works for me.:thumbsup2

Georgie, just make sure, you go somewhere where you can get all of your questions answered. I will try to help if you need it.

Everyone have a great weekend. Keep warm and dry. Scott, don't shoot the freezer.

Yes Elaine! Whenever it is going to get cold here, the weatherperson talks about a blast of Cold Canadian Air.

Hey, I can put up with the cold because it is http://www.**************/id/03-20-2009_our+Spring+Break+Disney+Cruise_0-0-0_0.png!

Mild temps and sunshine today!:cool1:

Dad had to be transported from rehab back into the hospital. He got settled in at 2 am this morning. His 102 fever has come back down. Thank goodness. When the infection gets under control, we will get him back to rehab before his knees stiffen up.

With the hectic schedule, and no time for eating... I've picked up a bug. Today finds me in bed complete with room service. Joe is an angel.

Bob, at this rate, we may need to decorate our Christmas trees with shamrocks! :lmao: Love your graphic of the running doggie!!! :thumbsup2

Hey Peter! How is your healing coming along???

Great to hear.

My computer thoughts, get as much Ram and the biggest HD you can afford
and a fast processor is nice. Sorry Bob our whole shop at work is Mac, home is all PC.

Did your play include the Wii? :lmao: Keep that workout going!
Nope. Too busy. Besides, there are games other than WiiFiit.:goodvibes

Scott, no apologies necessary, but you won't find an Apple machine where I work. Lots of engineering/technical work.
I have to agree about the fastest processor, ram and hard disk space.
With so much program bloat anymore, you really need all you can get. Reasonably.
There are plus and minuses to both kinds of machines. They are both good. You have to decide what the best fit is for you. Taking in account how much you are willing to spend, what you are going to actually use it for and what kinds of software that is available.
Georgie, ask a lot of questions and do a lot of research

(now I begin to ramble on.....)
I know some folks that would have you believe, because they do, that Steven Jobs invented the personal computer.
That was the Altair8800 and that was about 3 years prior to the Apple.

My first "owned" computer was a Commodore 64. It also had a 6502 chip, but was different than the Apple. After a few years I got an Windows/Intel machine and have been with them every since.

Back in the late 70's I worked with the AppleII's. Did not own one.
It was a DOS machine, BASIC OS as an option and plugin boards, ect.
It used a 6502 processor like the Atari game systems at the time.
Also, the same cpu as Bender on "Futurama".
Later Apple models used the Motorola 68000 chip.
Now they finally have gotten around to using Intel chips.

Gee and here I thought all you needed to decide what what colour would look the best sitting on your desk!!!! Personally I like my Flamingo Pink Dell....it looks so "purdy" sitting on my desk:rotfl2: oh and it's fun to use!!!!!

Bob, funny you mentioned the Apple II, we had a case where a suspect tossed a bunch of evidence, i.e. CD's etc into a river, Little did je know the Computer Team had a Master Police Dive Instructor, well we did recover 25 items of evidence, several were useable, his jaw dropped when we showed him the stuff we found, I digress, during the search we found an Apple II in the river, not related to the case as it has been there quite awhile. Kinda KEWL
