Lots of new information out there from Disney with the Bay Lake Towers! I missed the Travel Channel Presentation Last night! Did anyone tape it?

Guess what we got today?!

A nice little booklet from DVC absolutely begging us to buy into BLT.
The resort looks nice. But the rooms aren't as nice as OKW. IMHO

Be one of the first 1000 to own and your name will be immortalized in the sidewalk.

Would be nice to stay in the MK rooms though....once.
Points disparity between them and the standard views ones aren't too much though.

Hmmmm....maybe a winter roadtrip.

Georgie I thought is was pretty much a 1 hour infomercial, nice to see the inside of BLT units.

I want a BLT, but the sandwich- not the unit.

It was great to see all of you and meet some new people. We had lots of fun at brunch with Ken & crew on the last minute sea day.

Thanks again to our wonderful hosts for the wine & cheese party. I had LOTS of wine, I should of had a little more cheese. LMAO.

Hope those of you who learned some of my "secrets" on the ship either in the game show or wine & cheese- Remember what happens on the magic, stays on the magic.

My scrapbook is not even unpacked yet..... I still have the one "junk" suitcase to unpack and put away.... if I only had time..... Maybe I should just stick the whole thing in a bin in the garage...

So is anybody following the Baltic rumors? Any thoughts? I would have loved to do the crossing but with rumors of it being in April.. I guess I can forget it. I'm thinking last Med, changeover cruise, then first Baltic. Boy, Alex and Carolyn must be going nuts... just think of all the "firsts"!

Good evening everyone.....

My photo lab LOVED me today.....I had my pictures from our cruise and WDW printed....lets just say I think they made their print quota for the week from me...and I managed to get a free Nikon Coolpix digital camera out of it!!!!! Looks like Mom's getting a KEWL digital camera for Christmas!!!!!! I can't wait to start scrapbooking the cruise this weekend....

Leslie...I know all these cruise choices are killing me....Mom and I are leaning toward the transatlantic...14 MAGICal days on the ship...but we'll have to wait until October 7th to see if the rumours are true!!!!

Hello from Big Sur!

We had an easy 45 miles today. The day started out cloudy again, but the sun came out and it's actually in the low 70s here in Big Sur.

I hit the road at about 8am and arrived at camp at about 11:30. The gear truck wasn't unloaded yet so I turned around and went to get lunch.
I'm writing this from the Big Sur lodge while I'm waiting for my lunch.

Saw some of the burned areas from the big fires they had recently. In many area's the bottom half of the trees were burned, but not the tops.

Well - lunch has come and gone. It's time to setup camp and then start the count down to dinner. All we do for this week is eat, ride and sleep.

60 mile day tomorrow with LOTS of climbing.

Arthritis ride update - day 4

Hello from San Simeon!

Today I beat the Evil Twins (more on that later).

We had a nice night in Big Sur. Although I did wake up at about 3:30am and panicked because it sounded like rain. Actually, it was a combination of wind and a nearby stream. But it took me some time to figure that out.

64 miles today. We had sun all day and it got up to the high 70s. Nice weather for climbing. And we did some climbing today. We started with a 2 mile climb at the very beginning and went up and down for the next 40 miles.

The final climbs are the Evil Twins at about the 40 mile mark. The first climb is about 3.5 miles long and then after a short downhill, the second climb is steeper but only about a mile long. Its always nice to beat the Twins.

The reward for beating the Twins is a great hamburger at Ragged Point. If you are in this area, you should stop in. Although, just about anything would be good after all the climbing.

After Ragged Point, it's a 15 mile sprint into camp. Nice and flat.

Tomorrow is another 60 mile day - but mostly flat. More from Oceano tomorrow.

I still have suitcases to unpack on my "packing bed" - I have unpacked some, but not all.

I think we might lean toward the repo from Barcelona to the Baltic, then the first Baltic, it that happens - we will see.

Been busy working on the basement - cleaning the excess grout off the tile and staining. Still have alot to go!

Here was our weekend....


So the tileis down, Lynn will have some staining on the bookcases and cleaning up the grout residue. Best investment we made this weekend was a new set of knee pads for me (old ones were shot) and a pair for Lynn. That was a bunch of work about a total of 28 man hours, we are pooped and the Jacuzzi tub felt good.

Marking the calander now for Oct 7 to switch my Aug 09 cruise to something cool in 2010. Can't wait to see the choices

Heard some scuttlebutt about the Magic going to Copenhagen and Oslo in 2010. Anyone thinking of going?

I am so glad I found you, the system is not letting me respond to your private message, I can receive it but no respond yet because I am new. They are mailing us the information this week, I think we'll be in, we'll put you down as a reference anyway, the next time we go in the cruise will be July 25 2009 to celebrate my daughter and husband's birthday. I found out reading your posting that your folks are not doing well healthwise, we are keeping them in our prayers. Cruising choices!!!

October 7th! Can't wait til the "official news" DH still says that Mouse Beach is our official news!

Today finds me on my 2nd round of antibiotics. So hard to be sick with such wonderful fall weather here in NJ.

Verandah Man! I FINALLY got to see your surprise to Hazel! I can fun the flash on or laptop. It was priceless! Thanks for all the ppics too!

Just wanted to let you know that Pete is in the hospital. He took a bad fall yesterday at work. All should be fine, but he broke 7 ribs and is in miserable pain. I don't know how long he will be there, but I will let you all know. I am on my way to see him now. I hope they gave him enough meds to sleep through the night. I have a feeling today will be worse for him than yesterday as all the muscles start to hurt too!! Ok.. update later
