I cannot believe we didn't get Linda in any of these shots, probably because she was not in one spot for any length of time. :)

Thanks for the shots! I've added to by book a little... now all I need are pictures. I'm in the process of begging and borrowing. My camera didn't cooperate this trip!:rotfl:

Happy Saturday! :yay:

Well, if you are looking for anything in particular, let me know. My DS and DH took about 2,000 shots, mostly scenery, etc. I would be glad to share.

Yes Ron Santo should be in the Hall of fame, Ernie Banks era was the best. Who was the other player during that time?

Ernie Banks and Billy Williams are the Hall of Famers from the late 60's/early 70's.

The 1969 team had Ernie at 1b, Glenn Beckart(sp?) at 2nd, Don Kessinger at SS, Santo at 3B, Randy Hundley was catcher. Billy Williams was in left field. I believe the other outfielders were named Young and Hickman. Oh yeah, pitcher Fergie Jenkins is also in the HOF.
Leo Durocher was manager and is in the hall also.

Waiting for that basement film.
Now is that 11 your time or 11 my time?:lmao:

Bob, yes those were the guys, I like to think Pre Juice, Ernie Banks was a fovvorite of mime, seemed like a really nice guy.

I will remind Lynn to take some pics. we did get the floor down, started at about 7:00 and did not stop till 4:20 when we finished cleaning up, went to Old Chicago for dinner. Good deal appitizer menu was 2.99 each for happy hour.

Lynn says we will wait till it is grouted for pics.

well it looks like some people have found out some "interesting" "possible" interaries for 2010.....here's what I found posted on the Dis...

2010 SAILINGS - RUMORS, RUMORS, RUMORS

We want to "dish some dirt" about the 2010 sailings. Keep in mind, these are just rumors, but that's how most of this begins.

It looks like the Wonder will be doing 5 and 4 night sailings in June, July and August of 2010. They won't alternate, it will be two 5's and a 4 night. No idea of where it will be going, but it should "ease the pain" for those wanting to sail while school's out and want more than 3 night sailings when the Magic is expected to be overseas.

We already got the glimpse of the Magic being scheduled to be in the Baltics. However, there appears there's a twist to this as it may not be heading there straight away.

From what we've heard, on April 10, the Magic heads on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage. It arrives on 4/24 and begins with an 11 night sailing. On 5/5 there's a 10 night, on 5/15 an 11 night and on 5/26 a 10 night.

Here's where it gets interesting. On 6/5 there's a 7 night. Hmm...could the Magic be traveling from say, Barcelona to England? Are those 10 and 11 night sailings in April and May in the Mediterreanean? It would appear so.

From England, the Magic is scheduled for four 12 night sailings starting on 6/12. These are rumored to be the Baltics, including Copenhagen, Oslo and Warnemunde, Germany.

On July 30, it appears that there's going to be an 8 night sailing. We're speculating this is back to Barcelona. The schedule from there is an 11 night on 8/7, a 10 night on 8/18, an 11 night on 8/28, and a 10 night on 9/8.

Finally, on 9/18, the Magic should be heading "home" on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage.

Again, none of this is confirmed, these are "rumors."

Shh....let's be sure this is kept just among friends.

decisions....decisions....decisions....

Oooo, oooo, oooo, pick me, pick me!!!!!!!

I'd do any one of those, no problem! Wow, it'll be fun when we find out the new itineraries.

Who's going? :yay:

If there is really going to be three different European itineraries, we have some serious decisions to make. I am not all that interested in a Mediteranean cruise, but the repo cruise from Barcelona to UK or the Baltic cruise sounds very tempting. I am sure that we will be on one or the other or maybe even both.

Going to post the updates from Ken / Kpros for those who may not get them but, may have supported the cause...

Hello from Monterey!

Todays ride was actually 56 miles - not 60. The day started out sunny in Santa Cruz but we soon lost the sun to cloud cover. It never really warmed up to more then 62 degrees or so. Although now that I'm at camp, the sun is out again.

I left camp at 8:15 this morning. For those of you that know how I usually get going early - this was a very late start. But, I'm determined to not unload the truck this year.

The ride today was fine, but I did have a head wind for most of the day. I only averaged 14mph. I got to the 52 mile mark today and decided to stop for lunch. The camp site has changed this year and there is nothing close by. So I took a break and ate at the arch room (McDonalds).

Because of the new camp location, the ride today finished with a 1.5 mile 9 degree climb. Not my idea of a nice easy finish. I'm glad I took a break before the climb.

Off to Big Sur tomorrow. Only about 42 miles - but there are a few good climbs.

More tomorrow if I get a cell signal.

Ken

Oh Elaine, Josh was Great ...

Peter

Glad to hear that my Josh was great.....can't wait to see if the PBS here in Canada airs the special....

Such a shame that you had to listen to Josh perform the same song three times

Hey Kid.....
was flippin thru the channels during a break in the football game and saw Josh singing on the Emmys.
He was singing tv show themes. When I first saw him he was doing "the love boat" then one of the muppets came on and I thought he was going to sing "mah nah mah nah".:lmao:
No such luck.

Bob....you missed the best part...Josh sang the theme from The Andy Griffith Show!!!!!

All I can say is thank goodness he didn't sing "mah nah mah nah"....or I would have had to change the channel!!!!

He did a pretty good job on the themes.

Here was our weekend....

So the tileis down, Lynn will have some staining on the bookcases and cleaning up the grout residue. Best investment we made this weekend was a new set of knee pads for me (old ones were shot) and a pair for Lynn. That was a bunch of work about a total of 28 man hours, we are pooped and the Jacuzzi tub felt good.

Getting closer to being done.
