Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

AnotherDaycopy.jpg

About 28 hours over 3 days for me. Wednesday is a day off! That's crunch day for me!

Here's another I found over on the Magic Tracking thread....

There was an interesting discussion on the Weather Channel at 9.
The meteorologist theorized that the mountains in Hatti and Cuba would cause
the storm to track more to the WNW than NW. Hope he's right.

40+ more hours for me - New position - still responsible for the last one - I really neeeeeeeed this cruise -I'm taking Saturday off - and darn I just may forget to pack my laptop.

I finally received my vacation approval and have Sunday off. :upsidedow

If we miss a port due to weather, we can plan some more activities: DIS lunch, a photo scavenger hunt, DIS tag, movies...

Sounds better than Nassau :rotfl: .

I've got to agree w/Laxmom. I'm just not going to worry, it won't do any good anyhow.

Does this storm appear to maybe impact our trip? Where would we sail too if it does? What other ports?

I heard somewhere last year that it has only happened once. There have been occasions where the cruise was longer or shorter than planned. I will opt for the first option, thankyou! ;)

Too early to tell yet if it will impact it. I think we will be ok. I think it looks like we will scoot thru between storms. Not sure if I am just thinking positively but JMO. I'm not worried yet but I have ordered a case of Bonine so if you are in Cincinnati, there may be a shortage in this area!

Ok, I saw something in this thread earlier but can't find it now...about the address to mail boxes ahead of time to DCL not being correct in the FAQ pages?? Can anyone tell me where to send my box o' junk so it meets me at the ship??

I agree a few extra days would be heaven - rough seas or not - I'm ready for an adventure

I hope that isn't true about the shipping address in the faq pages being incorrect!!!! Perhaps my boxes o junk will not meet me, after all!!! All my beautiful handmade FE gifts are in the boxes!!! Oh no!!!  :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Now that's the way to think.

I say run north to Norfolk, and bus us to WDW. Maybe Burmuda. With two days a sea each way. I can dream can't O.

I'm sorry, I didn't read your post all the way, I was giving you the same info.

Need help with on-line check-in

I have filled out everything for my cabin. The two documents I printed out and signed are the Payment Authorization and the DCL Contract Signature page. Other than passport and ID, is that all I need to take for check-in.

For my son's cabin, they have not filled out their Guest information yet, however, the tab you choose to read the contract and get the signature page is grayed out and does not give the opportunity to print sign. Could this be because the Guest Information is not completed yet?

Also, I believe it says that all adults have to sign the Payment Authorization page also, but there were only signature lines for me and DH. If I indicated that I accept financial responsibility for all in my travel party, do my adult son and his adult DGF have to sign also?

Well not FAQ but it was similar to that in the main cruise forum. Maybe I dreamed it, but I swore I read a post in this thread somewhere (a week or more ago) that mentioned something in that info was wrong.
But thanks...Fedexing my box tomorrow!

Wait...what all do I need to put on the box to identify me? Name, room #? Sailing date?

In our paperwork there is a number for the ship that states 1.888.322.8732 that states that SHIP PHONE NUMBER.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

The Varnums of Orlando

Thanks for the number. I did go through the phone shuffle with the reservations people this morning. A really helpful lady got in touch with the ship but things just didn't work out.

The staff on the ship could not guarantee that someone would be able to administer the test. It was a long shot and honestly I didn't expect them to do it but I've got to give credit to both the state and the ship for trying.

Everything happens for a reason and there must be a reason I'm not supposed to have this particular job!:goodvibes
