Does anyone else find it a bit ironic that you're looking forward to being surrounded by water in 10 days?

NJ Update: I will make this long story short... Joe's mom fell backwards yesterday afternoon while carrying her mail and walking up her outdoor concrete steps. At 85 any kind of a fall is dangerous. She hurt her back shoulder and head and is now in the hospital. So far, all tests have come back with no broken bones. She did have a concussion. We both got 4 hours of sleep last night. Joe is on his way to the hospital right now to relieve our SIL. Mom B. will be kept through the weekend for more tests. I am pushing for the tests to be completed quickly so she can recover at home.

OH NO!! I hope that that they don't find anything and she's home soon.

There is a very slight chance we won't be joining you. I had a biopsy on Monday and won't get the results until sometime between next Monday and Friday. I was diagnosed with skin cancer again - basal cell or squamous cell can wait a week, melonoma may not.

Lesley - more hope the news allows you to still travel with us!

Morning everyone !!

It's 2:15am here in the UK and I'm still awake doing my final packing and checking all the paperwork as we leave home this afternoon to fly to the States.

All the months of planning have finally come to a conclusion and I'm now in a full state of panic. My wife has threatened to hurt me if I check the passports one more time so as she has now gone to bed there'll be no harm caused if i take another quick look.

Ful scale excitement at home today as our son Alex (16) who I'm sure will get to meet EVERYONE during the five days had hs GCSE exam results and passed all eleven with grades A, B and C. This however, cost me £150 ($300) as a reward for doing exceptionally well. When he returns from our Disney holiday he starts Law.

Despite taking a half day off from work today I still ended up working for nearly eight hours just to clear the decks as I'm in America for nearly 3 weeks so I don't even know how I can stay awake at the moment.

Anyway, back to sorting papers and documents - just remembered to print the FE distribution list. My wife and daughter have packed over 100 FE gifts in our cases and they weigh a ton!! Let's hope Virgin Atlantic don't check our cases too carefully as we may end up paying for excess baggage.

I'm in. Have you met Deb Wills? She's a 15+ year survivor, and often does the Avon 3 day. Deb will be on this cruise, too.

I have not, however she was on the Dec 5 cruise and I remember her organizing a walk. I did not participate, busy schedule. Now I have tried to slow down and enjoy life, and feel it's important to continue to educate the importance of early detection and regular mammograms.

Virginia - count me in on that walk!!! My grandmother died years ago from results of BC - before we have all the great tools we do now.. and a friend of mine battled it a few years ago.. I am definately in!!!

I love the ship early AM, Its so peaceful and what better way to remember our loved one's

So we pick up a car at LB3 location, Across the street from DTD, 4pm night before the cruise and we return it to the Cape Canaveral location, take there shuttle to the ship.. bout 40 bucks had 68 rate

I 'm not sure how many will join in the walk. I decided not to do a list, it's just a great time, with great Diser's, for a great cause.

I still need volunteers for deck 2,5,6 to either have a FE list or whiteboard outside their cabin to post any cabin changes.

I too was recently DX with breast cancer, and after hearing about Georgie and her friends battle, I thought it would be great to walk the magic the morning at sea to remember all our love ones and to continue the fight.

I forgot to add - count Scott and I in on this, we always walk in the morning, and do enjoy having company! (I should say, I walk, Scott runs )

We just checked for Dollar and got a better rate too. We decided to keep our car the whole time to avoid the extra drop off charges, but our rate from 08/29 - 09/07 was just a tad over $200. We've paid that just for a 3-4 night stay when we come down for a weekend.

I am hyperventilating-can't breathe! So much to do!

DD cracked her head the other night-after many ER hrs and a dozen stitches-she should be ok. I had visions of the cruise going through my head as blood was dripping down her face-Way to have my proirites straight!

Oh my how scary!! Head wounds can produce alot of bleeding even when it's not bad. I'm glad your DD is fine.
