Sorry Bob, I have no Idea who Boc is???? Gotta run to my typing and spelling class.:lmao: :lmao:

Kids at heart, definately.
You couldn't pay me to be the age 16 again..:lmao: :lmao:

The crossing just isn't in the cards for us I guess, lol. That's ok..looks like we will be seeing a lot of you over the upcoming months anyway.:thumbsup2

:scared1: :scared1: I know I read that this morning. That is very gross! I hope it gets taken care of.:sad2: but how would we know.

It's a scary situation. I personally would have wanted to actually SEE bedbugs. How could you be 100% certain without proper detection and diagnosis. :confused3 :scared:

I agree. Without the OP having someone come and check out her son or the cabin there is no way to know for sure. It could have been sand fleas, sea lice, etc. Both of those can take a day or two to show up, so it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the prior day. And with a teenager - who knows when he actually started itching! It's also interesting that the bites didn't get worse. If the bed bugs were there and nothing was cleaned up, wouldn't they have continued to bite the person?

Good point about the biting continuing. I just hate the thought of a bed bugs scare if that's not really what it was. From what I have read, bed bugs are really hard to get rid of. The thought of it makes me sick! :scared1:

I'm guessing we each should check the seams in the matreeses before sleeping but I am not going tol ose any sleep over it in the mean time. If they have them now (BEDBUGS) they may be gone by 08 and if they don't have then now they could be brought on at any time between now and the cruise. That goes for any place you stay that is not your home. Also if you do travel you can bring them home at any time. It has just become another item we need to be aware of as life goes on. Lois

At least though, if you travel and encounter them in a hotel, you can leave. On board you're stuck. If DCL has an infestation of bed bugs I'd be pretty certain it would cause a major problem. I would not hesitate to cancel my cruise if this is the case. :scared1:

Bringing them home with you is another story altogether!:scared1:

I brought Lysol spray and wipes on our past cruise. You can never be too careful when it comes to germs and little critters. Plus, we have DS1 who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. So, I wanted to make sure he didn't get sick while on the cruise. I definitely plan to bring the Lysol again. - Jennifer

Wel..... hi everybody!

Jenn and I, have both been sick with the cold, sore throat thinge....

Glad you guys are feeling better.

Our tank usually runs out right in the middle of steaks..lol. The worst time however...was 1/2 way through the thanksgiving turkey..lol. Just try to find someplace to get propane on thanksgiving day..lol..:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We set record highs the last two days! 79 yesterday!! Today we will only get up to 65 (though it's 20 higher than normal for this time of year for us!!). I'm wearing shorts to work today :rotfl:

Harry's obituary is now on-line. Here is the link if you would like to see and sign in on the guest book.

I have had some of our fellow disboarders ask how they contribute for flowers or a gift. The family has requested that memorial gifts may be made in his memory to Hospice Care of Southeast Florida, Inc. 309 SE 18th St., Fort Lauderdale, FL33316 or you can go directly to their website at
https://www.hospicecareflorida.org/form-payments.htm

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kay and family during this difficult time.

It is never easy to say see you later to those we love and hold close. I try to keep their memories in my heart and mind at all times. My prayers go out to all who have been affected by Harry's death. :grouphug: Lois
