Any other kids in late dining? I will have my 7.5 yr. old twins. We found that we liked doing the shows early and then the dinner. It might be fun to sit together so the kids can get to know each other.

any west coast people with kids on late dining?

We will be late dining with my DD who is 6 right now. She'll be 7, almost 8 at the time of this cruise. We aren't from the west coast though - but we just like the setup better. Although we USED to live in CA. Does that count???

With early seating my DD was always too tired for the shows. With late, we get to go! It also gave us time to chat at dinner. Christina is usually so tired that she falls asleep at the table after eating her dinner!

Peter,
If you're not gonna guess, I am too excited to wait! Tim and I...oh and little Junior Fox will be joining this bunch:woohoo:

Tracy said you guys would babysit for us the WHOLE 2nd stop at CC....thanks so much! We could use the alone time:laughing:

Oh, and nice digs you'll be staying in! We got our old favorite 6632!

Ahh the Bubba Mug, that got started by Disney Pin Diva, Leslie. Several of us went out to walmart and other places to get them. They work great for the drink station and hold your Ice for several hours. I just drank water from mine:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao

do you think they carry these mugs all year round? or should I wait for summer to look for one? thanks.

thanks Sue for posting - my twins (boy and girl) will be 7.5 at cruise time - they just turned 6 in Jan.

we did late dining for the same reason - they really aren't interested in the food but they loved the shows. Somehow we planned to put them into the clubs after taking them to the buffet or room service but it never worked out that way. The late dining turned out the same way for us - either falling asleep in the chair or taking them back during dinner.

several of the meals on our 7 nite we wanted them to come to the dining room because we dressed up as a family but the rest they can really skip. we just found the lines so long in the kids club that it wasn't practical to try and get them in before dinner and after the show.

any advice?

this time I think one adult will be assigned ordering and waiting for room service around 5pm so they will have the option of skipping dinner if they want. unfortunately they will be just shy of the age to check in and out by yourself at the clubs. that would be great if they could get dropped off there and just check themselves in.

let me know if you want the kids to send some emails to each other.

Page two? Don't tell me I've picked a cruise with people who actually have a life. :sad1:

LOL - keep those posts coming.

I was on a very chatty cruise in December - a moderate pace is easier to keep up with. when I joined they already had about 20,000 posts.

I can greatly sympathize with you. I do not multi task very well either. You're family and friends are just going to have to realize that we are your priority now. My family only recognizes me by the back of my head. If I step away from the computer they think we have company. :teeth:

on the Dec. cruise poeple would laugh about their kids asking for dinner and having to tear themselves away from the thread. LOL. you mean you can't get your own dinner.

We requested late dining. We will be travelling with (age on the cruise) DS8, DD5(three weeks shy of 6) and DS3. We found we were rushing to get to dinner every evening with main dining. Maybe, this time we will actually get to see a sunset.:sunny:

We won't be dining with you but my DD will be 8 at cruise time. She'll be thrilled to have so many kids her age on board! :yay:

I keep telling people not to feed them. They're like stray cats, feed them once and they expect it forever.

I have seen them at Walmart and at a truck stop.... Wait if ya want one at teh end of the year price.

:thumbsup2 If you are getting it just for the cruise, I would agree with the above post on waiting until the end of summer and get it on clearance.

REGINA!!!

Yes! We're coming! Can't wait to see you + Gary again! We heard from seaulater that you had matching T's one day on the 11 day cruise! That surely put a smile on my face.

Tracy: :woohoo:

LOL, yes we did have matching shirts the one time. I said it was in homage to you. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad that Gary doesn't look at the DIS. If he sees those Bubba mugs are back on the store shelves, he's going to want one. (shh...don't anyone tell him.) ;)

I want to get myself a Bubba Mug! I figure one 'mug' of coffe and I should be bouncing all over that ship! :thumbsup2

We only put Christina in the kid's club during dinner time on Palo's nights. The rest of the time she eats with us. One time we did eat in the dining room without Christina and the servers raised such a fuss we never did it again!

We haven't had too much issue checking in Christina. We just make sure to give a bit extra time. I don't think we've ever had more than three people in front of us. The line goes fast unless they are signing up a new kid for the first time.

Christina's birthday is January 21st - what about your twins?

Email can be fun! Christina's consist mostly of "*(*%IOBNTYUIHU{OP_RF^*" which is her attempt at typing. I then translate for her!

yes I requested it too. I was thinking of trying out the early dining but I think I will stick with late. Plus, the kids tend to be on a later schedule during the summer anyway so maybe it will work out better.

what I would really like to do is not have them bother with the dining room at all. it's silly to have them sit through the dining room just to spend 5 min. eating mac and cheese.
