LOL, yes we did have matching shirts the one time. I said it was in homage to you. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad that Gary doesn't look at the DIS. If he sees those Bubba mugs are back on the store shelves, he's going to want one. (shh...don't anyone tell him.) ;)

on the December double dip - all the DIS people bought a lime green t-shirt that Disney online had on sale for $5. At the terminal there was a sea of lime green shirts - we sold out the online stock. it wsa kind of fun to see people in the shirt all week and at the group pic.

We only put Christina in the kid's club during dinner time on Palo's nights. The rest of the time she eats with us. One time we did eat in the dining room without Christina and the servers raised such a fuss we never did it again!

We haven't had too much issue checking in Christina. We just make sure to give a bit extra time. I don't think we've ever had more than three people in front of us. The line goes fast unless they are signing up a new kid for the first time.

Christina's birthday is January 21st - what about your twins?

Email can be fun! Christina's consist mostly of "*(*%IOBNTYUIHU{OP_RF^*" which is her attempt at typing. I then translate for her!

Sue

my kids came to the dining room too but they were just too tired and I think they would have had the energy to do stuff in the kids club but were too bored at dinner. I could hardly stand sitting there either - lol. I wish I could eat in Palo every night.

I really have to fine tune our game plan for this cruise. Maybe one of us will take them to the club and just be late for dinner. you end up waiting in the dining room anyway.

the last night my husband took his mother to Palo and the kids and I took the night off from the dinng room - we were all so happy to not be there. The servers seemed surprised when we gave the tips out at breakfast.

It would be more fun for them if some other kids are in late dining though.

My kids are 01/10/01. maybe it will be lucky sometime. lol.

Hi all,

Count me in. This will be my first cruise. I'm booking tomorrow. Can't wait. It seems so far away. Myself, dd, my mom and dad (as a gift for their 50th anniversary) and two friends. So, what is the first thing one should do? I really would appreciate any tips and info. I will probably get the deluxe oceanview room. Can only afford one stateroom so there will be 4 of us in the room. Please feel free to e-mail me with any tips. I'm not sure how to work this board. I guess I'll figure it out soon. Thanks.

I would buy the Passporter guide - it tells you just about everything you need to know.

How old is your DD?

In time someone will come up with a great Graphic for a T - shirt..

Here is one from the 11 night Wonder Trip!!

I don't think it will be offered on the 5 night cruise. It's typically only available on 7 night cruises because they do the character breakfasts on sea days.

our character breakfast was aciually on friday - CC day on our double dip.

It was kind of a bummer because we were pretty late getting out to CC - I don't know if I would bother going to it next time - Fab 5 with the drive by pic and autograph - no real personal time.

Tana went to the dining room and asked if they could go to the breakfast on one of the sea days so they wouldn't miss CC time. that was a good idea.

Dody you should really submit that pic of the pirate ship to Allears for their monthly photo contest. It's a great pic.

That's 557 days of anticipation, excitement, planning, and getting to know your fellow cruisemates which for me is half the fun! :thumbsup2

we made a count down chain last time - but we started at 100 days out - 500 is just too many - lol.

actually it will be fun to start counting down when school lets out next summer. we will have all summer to get ready!!!

Hi Everyone.

Coming in from Albuquerque, New Mexico here. Booked last night. Taking my daughter and my parents for their 50th. My two friends are coming too. First Disney Cruise here. We are on Deck 2, towards the back. Can't remember room numbers. Originally on Deck 7, but kinda afraid of motion sickness so changed after viewing all the recommendations that I got here on the board. My friend and I are avid scrapbookers so we are very excited. Do they sell scrapbook stuff on the ship in the gift shop? Please feel free to drop me a line and say hello. I;m looking forward to meeting everyone.

Kellie (ScrapbookQueen)

they do sell some limited scrapbook stuff - the gift shop is pretty small - you should check the scrapbook shop at Downtown Disney before the cruise. they have everything that is available just about. the cruise stuff you can only get onboard I believe though.

This is great to keep the list of what everyone's dining choice is. I'm keeping a list only of those who have asked to link dining (I know it's hard to believe that some don't want to sit with the group :lmao: ).

where have you gotten seated in the dining room when you linked? - on our Dec. cruise they put all the tables right at the entrance - they were pretty bad tables. just wondered how well this has worked out in the past.

We haven't had trouble with location before. We were around the corner from the door in Lumieres and all the way up the windows to the back door. I can't really remember where everyone was in the other restaurants, but it seems to me in Animators we were in the middle section.

Jessica, he's very excited to have someone that will actually post with him on the boards. :lmao: (You'd better let them sign up now, or he'll be ticked at both of us! ;) )

Tracy, when we cruised last September I neglected to share the fact that we were eating with 40 of our closest (new) friends with my mom. She would have had an attack! I guess she thought it was coincidental that I knew so many folks around us! ;)

LOL - we had several on our last cruise hiding the fact from the spouses that they were with large groups for excursions and dining. it was kind of a running joke. other spouses knew that posting was going on but had no idea the level of involvement.

I guess it is just luck - we ended up against the wall in AP and it makes it harder to really get the impact of the show. thanks for posting this.

Any idea when we'll find out the dining rotation for this cruise? I'm also wondering when I'll want to book Palo.

Do they serve for a longer period of time in Palo on the short cruises to allow more cabins to book the restaurant or are there just more disappointed people?

Must have missed it! :lmao:

Click the link!!! :rotfl2:

the rest of the times, we just sat where they put us! :guilty:

Funny story - on the May repo we ended up at a table for 6 All dis board people. what are the chances of that happening! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Jennifer - what is your son's name - soon to be 8?

my son is Giona (jonah). this cruise is like the last one - seems to be all girls in my kids age bracket. oh well. my poor guy is always stuck with his sister.

DS6 name is Will pluto:(Pluto is his favorite character) . He will be 8 come cruise time. He is currently in First Grade. :goodvibes He is very friendly and loves to make new friends. DD4 ::MinnieMo is his shadow. So, he knows how your son feels about his sister. They are going to have a great cruise. We had a hard time getting the kids out of the clubs last time. :sad2: DS6 was in Oceaneer's Lab a lot. He can't wait to go back. Also, we had a hard time keeping their attention at dinner. They always felt like they were missing out on some fun. We plan to have our waiter get their meals out before ours, except Pirate Nightpirate: . Then, DH or I will run them up to the kid's clubs between courses. We only did that once our last cruise and wish we'd done it more. A peaceful meal, will be worth price of the cruise alone.:cool1:
