Do you Pixie Dust?

In another thread, AquaDame mentioned pixie dusting some of her Disney pins. I think that's a great idea -- now that we don't wear lanyards much anymore, I have a bunch of pins I'll probably never use again. I'll keep the ones that are special to me, but I think I may get rid of the rest on our next trip. I was thinking of giving the pins to kids, but there may be adults who might like to have them as well, so I'm not sure how I'll go about this.

In the past, we've Pixie Dusted random kids in the parks. I've done this by finding Disney-related items at the dollar store. We've pixie dusted stickers, bubbles and glow bracelets, don't remember what else. (Note: When giving things to kids, we always ask the parents, not the kids.) It used to be fun to pixie dust Fast Passes we couldn't use, but those days are long gone. I guess theoretically this could still be done but it would be much more difficult.

Do you pixie dust? If so, what kind of items, and who do you pixie dust? Have you ever had a negative experience when trying to pixie dust someone? I haven't, but just wondering.
The last trip my husband (soon to be EX unfortunately) and I took with our god-daughter I took 5 full lanyards of pins and a bag full and gave them out. I always asked the parent's first so I didn't look like a bad person, and man was it so much fun! And it cleaned out a big space in my extra room!

Our last trip to WDW we had extra dining passes and we gave those to families with lots of kids...You all are so great doing this and Pixie Dusting folks!!! :tink::tink::tink:

My sister and I once did what I guess you might call pixie dusting. We were having a bite to eat in the Craftsman Bar at GCH. There was an older woman sitting alone at a table nearby. She didn't seem unhappy, but after some time with no one joining her we asked her if she'd like to join us. She was so pleased and we had a wonderful time together. Turned out she lived near our mom, and we exchanged numbers. She also belonged to the same women's club as my mom and sis, and she was an avid knitter like me. We stayed in touch for quite a long time until we learned from her daughter that she passed away. We made a great friend that day.

That reminds me of something I did at WDW a while back. I didn't think of it as "pixie dusting" but it kind of was. This was when Trader Sam's had first opened over there and I wanted a Nautilus mug. I didn't want to drink it, I just wanted the mug - totally willing to pay full price. The server said that if I order it he has to pour it - still not sure why, but whatever. It seemed like such a waste, so I asked him to go see if this other table wanted a $65 bowl of liquor, on me. 🤣 They did, but then they waved me over to come sit with them. We hung out a while and they were off-duty CM's. We had a fun time and the next day I had a few extra anytime FP's in my account somehow, so the pixie dust made it full circle. I got my Nautilus and everyone was happy.
