Speaking of a pricey add-on... Why no kids "clubs"?

I've been wondering if Disney ever offered a daily kids club similar to what other big resorts offer where the kids gather in groups in the morning with a "counselor" and go do fun activities for 6-7 hours. Or similar to daily ski school at the big mountain resorts.

If not, why not? It seems WDW would be the perfect place for that whether the groups hang out at the resort or go to the parks.

Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with the kids at WDW but it would also be nice to have 1-2 days of "adult time" to hang out at the pool, eat at signature restaurants, nap(!), and explore the parks as a couple. In the meantime, the kids get to meet new friends and do different activities.

I know some of the resorts have clubs, but they don't seem to go anywhere outside of the club itself.

And Disney would get additional revenue from the clubs and more spending by adults!

I know it could be real expensive (similar to ski school!) but any other thoughts?

I don't know for sure, but I assume it is too much of a liability. Keeping track of ones own children can be very complicated in the parks let alone 10-20 of other people's children. And some kids don't want to go on some rides or throw a fit because they have to wait in lines or a host of other issues. There are just too many people. I have heard that the clubs are awesome and many kids don't want to leave once they have seen them.

That said, if you have the bucks you can pay disney for a babysitter that will take your kids into the parks. I don't now what they are called, but I have seen them a few times. In MK they are dressed in the concierge uniform. I assumed an adult had to stay with them, but I have seen just the cm and kids in the past so I guess not.

They do. They only run at night and are about 15$ per hour. There is one in AKL, Poly, GF I believe, perhaps a couple more . For in room babysitting their are a couple of in room services that are not disney... Google it.

No need to Google, I know some of the resorts have kids club locations but the kids don't seem to go anywhere else. And I was thinking of something more for 6-7 hours similar to what club med offers, some of the big resorts in Mexico, etc.

Just curious more than anything.

My kids are doing the yes program, but they are still required to have one adult with them. I think you have to be 14 before you can go without an adult.
