all the excited Mums, Dads and Kids due to fly on Virgin from MAN this morning. Hop Lips (G-VLIP) went technical (Not sure for definite if cancelled but i heard it was)

The captain had started the engine spool for take off when after a few seconds he throttled back and returned to the terminal. I was there to see my wife returning from Spain and decided to have a nose at the take offs.

:badpc:

What a nightmare - I hope they all get to Florida soon.

Did your wife have a good trip? I bet you and the girls are pleased to have her home

On the Orlando airport site it is showing as being on time so maybe a replacement was found quickly. I hope so, I would be so gutted if that was me!

Yeah good to have her back. My stomach is reeling from the harsh treatment i have given it over the last few days. :rolleyes1

Pretty sure G-Vlip did not go unless it went in the 5 mins i drove from one side of the airport to the other, not sure about another craft.

Oh what a terrible shame for those passengers :sad2:

Glad Sarah is home safe and sound Rob :goodvibes

Glad that your stomach is getting a treat :)

Hopefully the passengers were not held up for to long :goodvibes

Tried to check it out on VA's flight status facility on their website and it comes back as 'Sorry, no flight available'. Looks like it didn't go after all. :sad2:

On the MCO arrivals page it said that the flight arrived on time.

According to the VA website there is no Sunday service to Orlando in March???

Claire ;)

Although the Manchester to Barbados flight took off nearly 3 hours late today.

Claire ;)

Sounds like G-VLIP was on the Barbados route yesterday then. A quick check of VA's timetables confirms there is no Sunday flight from Manchester to Orlando during March. :thumbsup2

D'oh I naturally presumed it was VS075 going a little late. :rotfl2:
