Spaced seating on DME buses?

What are they doing on DME buses? Keeping rows between parties? If so, are there long waits between buses?
Curious. Asked on the DME FAQ thread (along with another poster), but no one has replied. Thanks!!

With so few people going right now I have not heard of anyone waiting an extended period of time.
Besides on the way from the airport flights are staggered so people filter in little by little.
I'm sure for the way back to the airport Disney has counted seating ahead of time as usual and coordinated timing as usual.

There is spacing between parties, usually 2 or 3 seats. We were there last week.

im not sure when it was but there was a post of someone waiting over an hour to get on a bus . I really hope it is running more efficiently than some of the stories I have read

when we were there, either the bus was sitting in their spot waiting for passengers, or it came within about 10-15 mins. We were happily surprised.

When we arrived on 8/19 there was a large sign at DME checkin. Wait time 60 minutes. It was around 1pm.

We took an Uber instead.

Leaving Sunday from CR at 11am we were 1 of 2 parties leaving . There were no guards or spacing like on the Disneybus.

We went to poly and 1 more party arrived. It looked like someone was late or missing because the driver kept checking.

So we were spaced out but only because we chose to do so there was not any direction from Mears.

60 minutes wait from the airport!!! yuck!

We arrived on a late flight. There was a small shuttle bus and a full sized bus waiting when we got to DME. They gave us the small shuttle bus as they were expecting a larger party and didn't want to leave them waiting if we took their bus (and they didn't want us to wait for them either). Our driver said he'd pretty much been on standby since the parks opened.

Coming back it was us and I think 3 other parties - plenty of spacing, bus was on time. Of note; there was a sign that the driver had removed from the door saying the bus was for NBA. I think it's Mears? At any rate, DME is definitely a different feel from the rest of WDW. Rules are a little more relaxed - still felt safe though.

Yes, Mears is handling all of the NBA tranportation; I think they're using mostly DCL buses for it.
