Space restaurant?

DH mentioned that if the "space" restaurant opens in Epcot when we're there in November he wants to go. Any one have any idea what he's talking about???

They are building a new restuarant by Mission Space. If you Google it, there is probably lots of concept art to be found. I don't think it's opening this year though, that's not the impression I got from what I've read. Maybe another two years or more.

Right now there's no opening date, but I don't think it's expected to open before 2020.

I'm a little confused since initially I read that Space 220 was scheduled to open fall 2019 and then suddenly I heard on here that it was opening April 2019 and they were currently hiring CM's and now on this thread its currently still in the process of being built and won't be opening this year?

Clearly there was misinformation abound.

I saw one blog post that speculated a late 2019 opening because the building is fully enclosed, but no other sites that corroborated that. The folks at Disney haven't given much in the way of an approximate opening yet, and I think the only hiring notices so far have been for international CM's, which can take a while to go through the process. So it's anyone's guess on the actual opening!

I was snooping around and remembered that the thread I saw on here was in reference to DFB who said April which was weird to me since everything I had seen was late fall 2019.
I'm betting its still sceduled for late fall.
