Let me start off with...I do not know where to post this, so here it goes.....okay I love disney world, my favorite rides are log flumes but I'm not a major coaster gurl.
I love big thunder mountain railroad....spash is always closed when i've been to disney but i'm going on it (i've been on 60 ft drops so i'll be fine)
i loved the indiana jones ride in disneyland, and I like of corse all of the magic k rides ie peter pan LOL
but this is my first time going when i'm considering space....now your thinking she's 13 why wouldn't she.....again i'm not a roller coaster gurl
and I HATE SPINNING RIDES-so options please

I would say go for. It is a little bumpy, but it isn't scary.

I think you will be fine. My mother doesn't like rollercoasters either and she went on the first time ever five years ago and now it's one of her favorites. You will enjoy it.

I was scared of it for years, even though everybody told me it wasn't scary and it was the best. I finally tried it and now it (and the other WDW coasters) are among my favorites!!

Get to MK before the park opens, and head strasight for it when the park opens, so that you are one of the first riders--that way if it tunrs out you didn't like it at least you won't have waited for 60 minutes! Then head straight for splash mountain for the same reason!

I don't like roller coastersm but I handle SPace Mountain without any problems. Give it a try, I think you'll be fine.

Space Mountain is actually pretty tame. Although, it can be a bit bumpy. Go for it!

I think you might be mixing up two different rides. Space Mountain in the MK does not spin; it's fairly tame as rollercoasters go, except it's mostly in the dark so you can't see what's coming. Mission: Space, on the other hand, is at Epcot; it is a simulated trip to Mars in a 4-person capsule. The capsules tilt and sway in time with the video on your screen, and if you choose to do the more instense version, the entire set of capsules spin like a centrifuge to give you the sensations of G-forces on takeoff, weightlessness as you escape gravity, and more G-forces and skdding/slipping movements as you land on Mars. I love the more intense version myself (haven't tried the 'easy' side yet), and I HATE spinning rides too...you'll never get me near the Teacups, for instance, but the 'spinning' of the centrifuge doesn't really feel like spinning as long as you keep your head forward and watch the screen.

Im your age and i said the same thing when i first went to disney world. I got on to space mountain(my dad pratically dragging me) and loved it. The next day i got on tot and rrc. Go for it, im sure you will have fun

We were on the TTA yesterday, and the lights were on. This was around 5 PM, and you could hear them announcing track tests. I don't remember reading if it was supposed to be closed, but then again, I have a back issue, and space mountain isn't a ride for me.

Do Space Mountain, it is awesome!! Very tame, as far as roller coasters go. We are going on Saturday and that is the first ride my 5-year old wants to go on. :cloud9: :grouphug: :wave2:

When I was there last Monday, the lights came on when I was standing in line on the platform, they made us all leave, we got a readmission ticket on the way out (a fastpass for any MK ride). When I went back later, it was broke down again. They let me use the ticket when I was there on Wednesday night, however the fastpass line was all the way through the tunnel! I suspect they may have been having problems again.

Go look at some pictures or even better videos of Space Mountain with the lights on and you'll see that it's not bad at all.
