On the disboards main page. in the Dis Site Updates section. There is a link that says "New Photopass option at Space Mountain in WDW". I clicked and this is what it says.

New Photopass options- You may now purchase your Space Mountain photo ( also receive a special Space Mountain photo card) as a print while in the Space Mountain Merchandise shop. You can't get it printed at any of the other Photopass centers. You also have the option of purchasing a digital download from the Photopass website or combined with other bonus digital content on a Disney themed USB drive.

Does anyone have any additional info on this.

This is great news - finally they have added another attraction photo to the PhotoPass system. :) It's a pity that you have to purchase a photo (either print or digital version) before it can be added to your PhotoPass account, but at least it can be added.

Hopefully other attractions will be added in the near future.

Don't count on it (others soon). This one tooks what, 3 years since they did TT at least? LOL

I'm actually suprised we ever saw another one after TT. I wasn't expecting it.

Selling prints = $$. Putting them on Photopass = $0.00.

It's a money problem.

I'm confused. I already pre purchased my photopass CD. Do I have to pay any extra $$ for the Space Mountain pics or can they be added to my photopass account like the Test Track photos?

you have to make a purchase, minimum cost is $14.95

the major issue with other attractions that offer photos is that the system Kodak uses is completely incompatible with the PhotoPass system, they couldn't even if they wanted to.

when they refurbed space mountain and added the photo, they installed both systems so they could switch over to photopass if needed. expedition everest might also have this capability too, but no other attraction does.

Brad,

I understand what you're saying but let's be serious here. They could retro any attraction to work virtually overnight if they really wanted to. It's not that complicated and certainly not that cost prohibitive.

Maybe you hit on something with the Kodak thing though. Could be a contractual thing that just has to expire at each individual attraction first.

I bought an Everest photo in Dec 09 and couldn't add it to my photopass.

Thanks for the info. We leave on Thursday and I have pre paid for the photopass. I will definitely think about adding this.
